Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Out Front

A nice warm 51 degrees for walking this morning.
A mix of sun and clouds and it was WINDY.

Sky this morning wasn't one of beautiful colors but still a great looking sky.

A pleasant walk all around town this morning.
Both cemeteries, the ball park, and up and down the roads in town.
Down to see the bulls who were all fine - some eating, some sleeping,
and some walking around in the mud.

All the ice is gone from the town pond today.

Finally saw someone else out walking around town - Rebecca and
her friendly little dog Leo.  Hadn't seen her in months so it was nice
to stop and have a little chat for a minute.

Walked 6 miles

🌤    🙂    💨

After a yummy breakfast of strawberry pancakes we headed out in
the truck with the trailer to go to pick up the ATV in LaVale.
On Monday Ken and David took it in for service.
It had been a few years since it was serviced so now it is good for
another few years.

The afternoon brought more clouds but it stayed warm and was
in the 60's again.

I went out front and cut a bunch of sticker bushes that were trying
to grow back and then picked up a lot of dead fall to put on my fence.
Starting with the front and then will move on to the back
and then along my trails.  Once they are good I'll work on making
more trails.  Want to mark the trails better so when it snows I can still
find the trails easily.

Out Front

I do enjoy sitting on the swing taking a break once in a while.

Finished sewing up the March Baby Blanket last night.

Thought you might like to see what's left of the snow pile.

That's all I have for today.
Hope you enjoyed your day.
Thanks for stopping by.

We've experienced some strong winds last night and today, no damage but some areas had trees and fences blown down!

That is a very nice photograph of the town pond, a peaceful scene.

All the best Jan

...the sky doesn't need to be colorful to be beautiful. We hit 71F today, but Saturday will 37F, go figure.

It's so neat that you have your own private trail system. You really do have many Happy Trails! :-)

I always enjoy your posts and pictures. Today, if I were to pick a favourite it would be the one with the pond.

The March blanket turned out beautifully. The snow pile is going fast...may not last the week. I think the red swing must be pretty sweet right now before bug season.

I love your beautiful blue sky pictures and its reflection in the pond. It's a good idea to mark walking trails now for I also found them hard to follow in deep snow. Dan marked my trails by driving his side-by-side along them which helped a lot. It also packed a path for me so the snow wasn't so deep.

Looks as though Spring is on the way with the Pond un-freezing the ice.

Hello

Beautiful views of your yard, the sky and pond. The warm weather has melted our big snow piles too. It feels great to get outside for a nice walk. Take care! Have a great day and a happy weekend!

It's windy here too. Supposedly bringing a weather front into our area. Loved seeing the sky. And the view of a rock lined trail in your yard...is that a chain railing?

Love the snow pile pics!!!!

But as you said elsewhere, we know the spring temps, are not here, for real, yet...

Delightful swing!!!!

Strawberry pancakes! Yummmm... Do you put strawberries in the pancakes? Or put them on top of cooked pancakes? -smile-

Gentle hugs...

Great looking skies. The pond is so peaceful looking. We had a hail storm last night, it was so loud and latest about a half hour. Rain and sun off and on today. Enjoy your day.
