Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Thanksgiving

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

It was a cloudy morning but calm and 45 degrees
on my walk.
It had rained during the night and stopped just before
I left the house.  Wore my rain paints and yellow slicker
just in case of a shower but no need for them.
Saw a skunk on the drive to town run across the street.

A quiet walk around town and only saw a handful of cars.
Walked up and down all the streets.

Didn't think I'd see anyone and then near the end of walking saw
Lena around the ball park and then saw the man who walks his
little dog around the ball park too.

Nice being out early morning walking and watching a new day start.

Walked 6 miles

🦃   🙂    ☁️

Made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast.
I usually buy dinner rolls but we forgot to get them
so I made biscuits this year.  They turned out great.
Biscuit Recipe

Ken and I enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings.
We ate at 1:30 and had to wait for later for Pumpkin Pie
because we were too full.

Here is the next jigsaw puzzle we have started.
This one will be a bit of a challenge.

I have so very many wonderful things to be thankful for but
what I am most thankful for is my Salvation, God's free GIFT to all.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
May your day be a happy and grateful one.

A chorus that I've had on my mind the last few days and have been singing.

🎶 Thank you Lord for saving my soul. 🎶
Thank you Lord for making me whole.
Thank you Lord for giving to me,
Thy great salvation, so rich and free.

...I always enjoy see the white pine needles are they fall to the ground, I look forward to the reddish color. The background hills on that puzzle should be a challenge. I'm glad to hear that you had a good Thanksgiving.

I'm glad you had a lovely Thanksgiving. The newest puzzle looks very challenging with all the blue sky and the hills covered in trees in shades of gray. This one is sure to take you a whole week to finish.

Great turkey day walk! Warm weather (for November) in south central PA for my turkey day walk. Your puzzle looks challenging. A perfect low key grateful holiday is always welcomed. Glad you were able to walk.
