Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Frosty Walk

 A frosty morning walk.
31 degrees with a slight breeze.
Was nice when the sun made its appearance in town.

Another drive to town and saw 4 deer along the way.

No one about on this early Saturday morning as I walked all over town.
Went over to the industrial park and walked around there too.

A few pictures along the way.

Walked 6.2 miles

☀️     🙂     🍁 🍂

A beautiful sunny day all day though a bit cool.
A perfect fall day.

In the morning I got some more wash hung out on the line.
I can't believe how much laundry accumulates for just two people.

Late morning I joined Ken up at the tractor barn.
He got more clearing out done and we have another truck load
of metal to take to the recycling place.
I had two fire barrels going burning up LOTS of scrap wood.
Some of it from an old deck we had at the house in town.
We saved the wood and have been using bits of it over the years
but nothing good left to use anymore.
Took a lunch break and went back to work till 3:00.

We had Spinach Bean Soup for supper which I made this morning.
(no recipe for it on my recipe blog)
Now I'm looking forward to my ice cream snack later this evening!!

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Saturday to you.

I honestly could not tell which you used to color with...I had looked at the pic yesterday and some you posted another day.

That soup sounds very nutritious. My dad used to say there'll be frost on the pumpkins tonight
Funny, how when someone mentions a word (like frost), a memory comes thru.

Have a glorious evening & enjoy that dessert.

...our morning looked like this, it was the first frost for us. Your colors still look beautiful.

The frost looks so pretty... I need to get my petunia in for the night.

Beautiful color in the oranges and burning bushes. A fire 🔥 on a chilly day is very pleasant.

The frost and the fall colors make for some amazing scenes.

We had our first snow fall this morning; only a trace to an inch but enough for now. I wanted to say I really like the little saying you posted at the end of your blog. Sweet.

Your frosty morning pictures are just gorgeous! I love the tingling feeling I get on my cheeks when I walk on cold days. I also like the saying you posted.

Great pictures. You sure can see the heavy frost. Oh I too often wonder how two people can make so much laundry . It's not like we are going anywhere these days. LOL I have a ton of yard scraps to burn...but we have "No burn warnings" around here because it's so dry. Ted says I can burn all winter...well like I want to do that. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Lovely color on your walk! We had frost this morning, though not heavy at all, nor was it widespread. I love the bite to the air when it’s cold like this.

I absolutely love the photo of the red tree and the frost. So pretty! It seems to be the season for soup... we made it twice last week.

Hi Happyone
When enjoying a visit to Life Is Good your photography fascinates me. I find myself saying over and over, I would have taken that shot. You sure have a great eye for what makes a great photo. In this post, that last photo with the pond, trees, and shadows is photo calendar quality! Thanks for sharing your blog and photography and thanks for the kind comments you leave on my blog.

Great pictures and now I have to find your recipe blog. I got a bag of frozen spinach by mistake from my Walmart shop online and pick up service. Maybe I could make a soup.

Oh, it does look frosty there. We haven't had the first frost yet, but cool enough today to build a fire in the fireplace. Spinach Bean soup sounds really good. Healthy too.

What a beautiful walk you always have. The soup sounds delicious. It’s in the 80’s here in South Georgia. Blah!
