Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Bulbs

Another misty morning walk like yesterday and it misted during
all of my walk.  Was a bit wet by the time I got home but at least
it wasn't cold.
54 degrees

It was one of those rains where an umbrella just doesn't work.
the mist gets you wet anyway.

Had to stop the car again on the way to town to let the
deer cross the road.

A very quiet random walk all around town.
Didn't see anyone else out walking.
The only person I saw to say good morning to was a woman
dropping off her daughter at the day care center.

Here's yet another picture of the colorful leaves.
This one is along the ball park loop.

A big truck went past me with a whole load of lumber on it.
I could smell the wood.  Love that smell.
Also smelled a skunk which wasn't so pleasant!

Walked 6 miles

🍁    🌧    🍂    🙂

Another Tuesday, another food shopping day at Shop and Save.

Ron, our neighbor and friend, the one who gives us all the tomatoes,
gave me a bunch of bulbs.  He thought they were daffodils but
wasn't sure.

This afternoon I planted some in a few pots.
Will plant the rest out front along the bank by the driveway.
Ken is going to loosen the dirt up first for me with the tractor.
Then there are rocks to remove before I plant the bulbs.
Will be fun to see what comes up in the spring.

Finished reading Charlotte which I liked a lot
and started reading another book.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Tuesday to you.

Oh...sweet gift! This reminds me that I have a few bulbs to get into the ground.

The colors there are so vivid that they show even through the mists. Your header photo is stunning!

An email behind the scenes heading your way...

Thank you for the happy Tuesday wish. Looks like yours was another happy day. I bet the fall colors are just gorgeous in your area.

...they look like daffs, they are quite small and for next year you may not get many flowers. That should change in future years and the nice thing is the deer don't eat them.

That book looks like something I would enjoy. I hope all your bulbs do good...will be fun to see what comes up in the spring.

The rain/mist seems to intensify the color of the leaves.

Wild onion bulbs, maybe? Your walk is beautiful. We walk on our farm here but never at any time do we have views like yours. Actually, there’s no place in South Georgia that has views like that. We have humidity. Hot humid weather. Blah.
