Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walmart

A clear morning and 58 degrees with a slight breeze as I walked to town.
Walked around both of the cemeteries a couple of times
and didn't walk in town at all.

Saw a couple of rabbits and a few deer too.

A big round mushroom.

Saw Rebecca walking out of town as I was just getting there and then
later at the cemetery saw Lena and Pam.

Walking the last mile here on my way home.

Walked 5.7 miles

First thing after breakfast we went to Walmart.
Haven't done that in a good long while, last time was in February.
We picked up a good supply of things that are cheaper there,
like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, lotions and things like that.
Picked up a pretty mum there too.
Nice walking around and there were hardly any people.

We took the day off from working this afternoon and just
puttered about the house.
I went outside and planted the mum.
Also got some reading done and more outlining on the cross stitch.
Sitting on the porch was a great place to stitch, nice and bright.
Later this evening I'll be sewing weave-it squares together.
Now we are off to church.  🙂

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

...we haven't been in a Walmart in awhile, but every week or so we place an order online and pick it up. It works great, we pull in a special spot, call and they come out and load our order in the back of the SUV. We are impressed by the help that have helped us.

Hardly a week goes by that we don't go to Walmart. I finally got around to sending pictures to be developed and will pick them up on the weekend. No doubt while we're there we'll find some good deals.

Mushrooms are popping up all over our yard. They are even showing up in some of my pots. All different kinds. Your second photo is so pretty and peaceful looking.

Oh that sounds exciting. 😉 You'll have to share more when the time is right.

Sometimes a Wal*Mart trip is just the ticket.

I usually don't enjoy a trip to Walmart, but if you haven't been since February, sounds like it was definitely time to go and stock up. It wouldn't be bad if the store wasn't crowded. Hope you enjoy church tonight. See you again tomorrow!

Hello,

Your walk sounds nice, I like the looking down the road. Our Walmart is not too bad, we usually go when it is not crowded. It is nice to take a day off, have some fun or just relax. Take care, enjoy your day!

"Picked up a pretty mum there too."

In the UK the word mum means mother. Like you spell mom.

I wondered why Walmart was selling mothers, and how much they cost. Were they on offer?

God bless.

Hi Karen- sounds as though you and ken have had a beaut day. Bit warm here through the day (good for Spring)- some rain about earlier in the week- nights are still cold...having some success selling things on e-bay...looks as though I'll be able to afford my HO Model Railroad after all. Best Wishes. KEV. (Sydney-Australia).

Your weather sounds just perfect. 58 degrees! We had a couple of cooler days but are now back in the heat and humidity. Too hot do do anything outside. Like your big round mushroom. It took me a minute to realize that is the tip of your shoe and not another mushroom. :) I love that long road ahead of you on your walk. It is so pretty there.

Looks like a nice day. I am learning slowly but surely the items at Wal-Mart that are cheaper everyday from other stores. Your outdoor sitting sounds relaxing!

I haven't been to Walmart since mid-March. I was so disappointed that so many people were not wearing masks, including employees that I said I wouldn't go back until this is all over. You sure are enjoying the last bits of summer!
