Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another Beautiful Sunny Day

Another clear morning and the temperature was 58 degrees and very still.

Had my usual walk to town.
Very quiet and not much going on but still a good morning for walking.
Walked all the loops that I usually do and around town.
Passed our old house and headed over to the Dollar General where I met Ken.
He had to go the lumber yard in town again so I got a ride home.

Didn't see any other people out walking and no animals either.
Wonder where everyone was?

Walked 5.6 miles

☀️     🙂     ☀️

We left after breakfast to do some errands.
Post Office
Shopping at Dollar General and Shop and Save.
Planned on stopping at the library too but we got done too early and
it wasn't opened yet. (opens at 11:00)
(We went back to the library later in the afternoon)

Back home got a couple of things done around the house before lunch.
We bought a couple pounds of ground beef and I made up a bunch of
hamburger patties and put them in the freezer.

Ken drove the truck with the lumber in it up the road to the cabin
and I drove up in the ATV with some more tools.
Worked on the outhouse for a couple of hours.
Left the truck there and we both came back to the house in the ATV.

We almost didn't see this toad sitting there.
I must have just missed stepping on it a few times.

Sitting on the front porch after working and eating apples has become a habit now.
I'm still throwing my core out front and the deer eat them.

That's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you.

...this morning I was out working the yard, it was cool and saw a small snake that could barely move until it soaked up some sun. I've never cared for snakes!

I love the picture of the toad. We had lots of toads around our house when we lived in Illinois, but I rarely see one here in Utah. Beautiful sunrise shot! See you again soon!

That toad is big! We have little green ones around here. We were in the 30's this morning. Brrr. Now we are surrounded by smoke from many fires in Eastern Washington. Ugh. Sounds like you are making good progress on that outhouse! Hope you have a restful evening.

Such a good day...I think we best enjoy them while we can. Of course, cold weather is always a good time to stay inside and sew.

The toad is so cute.

That toad is so well camouflaged. I'm glad you didn't step on him because you would probably have given him ( and yourself) a big surprise!!

I love the clouds in the first picture! Sitting on the porch is our favorite way to end the day.

Gorgeous sky shot as you walked to town. Working, then enjoying the end of your day with sitting on the porch eating apples & perhaps seeing a deer or two is a perfect setting.

Hello,

Love the pretty sky and the cute toad. I am sure the deer loves the left over apples. Take care and I hope your day is great!

A literal outhouse or an out building? You two always have a project and stay wonderfully busy every day.

What a nice sky to greet you in the morning. That toad would be really hard to see, he blends right in.
