Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The Farm Loop Walk

44 degrees this morning and a mix of sun and clouds.
Instead of waiting for it to get light enough to walk I drove to town
and parked in the lot by the pond and then started my walk.
Too dark on the country roads with no street lights, but town has street lights so I can walk there.

Walked through town and out the other end and by this time it was
light enough for me to walk the Farm Loop.

Pictures along the route.

Walking down the nice long gentle hill

Some of the cows were out in the front pasture at the Dairy Farm.

Just past the Dairy Farm I turned left at the school,
down the hill to town and back to the parking lot.
Then walked twice around the first cemetery and then up
the hill to the other cemetery, walked around there twice too,
then back to the Jeep and a drive home.

Didn't see anyone else out walking nor did I see any animals
except for cows.

 Walked 6.2 miles

☁️     🙂     🌤

This morning we went to the church to pick up the tractor and brought it back home.
While we were out that way, before getting the tractor we stopped
in at Lowe's for a couple of things.

Got a few things done around the house this afternoon and then
just enjoyed the rest of it doing not much of anything. 😀

That's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Wednesday to you.

That looks like a nice walk! Yes, walking on dark roads can be pretty dangerous! you were wise to drive to town!

Good idea to stay off country roads in the dark. It's nice that you have options. I like that shot of the pond at Farmer Bill's!

We're sure noticing that the mornings are darker. The smoke also contributes to the darkness. Still can't go walking because of poor air quality.
