Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Books

Walking to town early this morning it was 57 degrees,
calm, and mostly sunny.
Walked through one of the low hanging clouds.

Didn't walk through town but just stayed by the cemeteries
and walked around both a couple of times.
Rebecca was walking up the hill to the cemetery as
I was walking down.
Saw George today on his bike.  Haven't see him for a long time
and we stopped for a chat and got caught up.
Nice to see him again and know him and his family are all doing well.
All the animals were in hiding this morning because I didn't
see any of them.
Only birds around.
Leaving the cemeteries I headed back home.

The only animals I saw were a couple of my neighbor cows
when I got back home.
That's my driveway up on the left.

Walked 5.7 miles

🌤     🙂     🌤

I cleaned out my closet and dresser draws today.
Don't have that many clothes so the job wasn't as big as it sounds!
Mostly just organized everything and got things neat and tidy.
Do have a small pile to give to charity.
We have one of those Planet Aid yellow boxes over by the
Dollar General and I'll drop it off there.
Checked and they are still taking donations in our location.

I'm liking my Kindle a lot more than I thought I would.
Think I'm getting a bit carried away with all the books I've
downloaded on it.
Last count there were 25 books on my list.
Will take me the rest of the year and then some to read them all. 🙂
Still like real books too and have a bunch of them on my list also.

We had another one of those beautiful sunny summer days
here in western Maryland.

That's been my day.
Thanks for stopping by.

...I hope that it isn't as hot in your neck of the woods as here, 90F! Enjoy your weekend.

I thought you might like the kindle once you got it. It is so convenient to carry in your purse, etc. I don't even know how many books I have on mine...I just looked...2001 items. One of those is an autobiography of a blog friend's dad that he wrote but it isn't published. She sent me the file and there is a way to get it converted for the kindle. ( I just don't remember how.) The biggest part of them are free. Some I have deleted. Some were not that great, but all the same they were ones I would have wanted to try.

I have been wondering if our Good Will is accepting donations. I think I would be more apt to get back into going through things if I knew they did. I should call and check...

It looks like you had lovely walking weather. Trying to find the good in my day. Well, I am thankful for air-conditioning. It is so hot and humid outside.

You are the greatest walker . LOL I love how that's the first thing you do everyday. I need to donate a ton of stuff out of this house and most certainly out of Ted's shop. Yikes, just the thought of it . I am already tired. :) Funny to walk thru a cloud. You do have pretty scenery to see. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Sounds like a great morning for walking. I need to clean out a lot of drawers and closets here. Glad you have two ways to enjoy good books!

I must confess I didn't walk today. I was tired after yesterday's celebration and besides, it was downright cold outside.

Hello,

Nice walk, I love the view of the farm and cows. I clean out my dresser drawers this week too. There always seems to be something to do around the house. I love my Kindle. My hands hurt to hold a regular book.
Take care, Enjoy your 4th of July weekend!

And you can download magazines, too! Although, there aren't that many magazines I like anymore. Recipes are always good! Yay for sunshine!

I had this strange feeling that someone in the cemetery must appreciate your visits. I for one appreciate your pictures of country roads and admire you for taking these walks every day.

It's rather cool here 12C (53F) and some rain. Doesn't feel like July at all. Have a nice 4th!

Very cool and overcast today. Hopefully, the promised weather improvement for the 4th will happen. No wonder you find cows visiting you! You're very close to the farm.

Hi Karen. Sounds like a lovely day. We are hot for the weekend here in Utah. So nice that you are becoming accustomed to reading on your Kindle. You will go through 25 books in no time at all, I'll bet. Enjoy the rest of the day and Happy 4th of July to you and Ken!

My favorite scenes today is the driveway hill & cattle. A perfect morning walk. My Kindle hasn't been used in years...last I read was Led Miserable (so so could adjust the text size...regular copies if this, the print is too tiny!) I haven't done my closet clean-up yet. I try to do it twice a year for season changes. Soon, I promise. Lol

Have a great 4th & stay safe!
