58 degrees, sunny, and calm just like yesterday morning
when I left walking to town.
Saw 8 wild turkeys a short way down the road from my house.
Those rabbits were out again plus a few others.
Walked around both cemeteries a couple of times.
Went down by the Drane house to see how the bulls were doing.
They were nowhere to be seen but the horses were out.
There are 5 of them but these two were over by the fence.
Just couldn't get them to look up at me,
they were too busy eating.
Pictures not so great because it was so bright out.
She is a little one and about half the size of the horse above.
Rebecca and I passed each other 3 times walking around.
Also saw Lena walking with her friend Pam.
Passing by the bakery a woman was just leaving with her
bag of donuts. I said they sure smell good.
She told me she comes every Wed to get her donuts.
She lives at the retirement apartments in town and walks to the bakery.
Only about 1/4 mile away.
I've met a few of the residents there by the bakery at one time or
another and they've all told me the same thing!
Continued walking past the library and over to the ball park and
walked the loop there a couple of times.
Then walked around town here and there till 8:00
when it was time to meet up with Ken at the parking lot by the pond
and had a ride home.
Walked 6.6 miles
🌤 🙂 🌤
I didn't finish sewing the weave-it squares last night,
but finished the last two rows this morning.
Baby Blanket for July
Such a beautiful day.
Sunny, in the mid 70's with a cool breeze.
Did a little work inside.
Perfect day for getting the clothes dried out on the line.
Those temporary boards are working great out on the deck
for me to use the clothes line.
Walked around Happy Trails a bit this afternoon and spent
some time again reading out on the porch.
Yesterday we bought some more strawberries
and also heavy cream for whipping.
We will be having strawberry short cakes for our snack tonight
instead of ice cream.
Thanks for stopping by.

...I don't normally think of blankets in July, but last night it was a bit chilly and I pulled up the blanket during the night.
The smaller horse is especially good looking. Strawberries and whipped cream, oh yum!
I always admire your walking route and the bakery sounds divine!
I would be having strawberries on vanilla ice cream! Actually, I wouldn't mind shortcake either. The horses look healthy. And beautiful.
That babyblanket looks so soft and cuddly. Some baby is going to be blessed with it.
Porch time is wonderful. I love wen I can sit out and write or bird watch. Strawberry shortcake sure sounds like summer. I love the nice little blanket you made. It looks so soft. I just adore tiny horses. Some times they look like a big dog in size. LOL I always say, "Oh my little pony" whenever I see one and Ted will just laugh at me. LOL Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
Did those 🍓shortcakes taste like four? Yummo! You deserve them for passing up fresh doughnuts. Your blanket came out good. I really like the plaid ones.
Strawberry Shortcakes sound wonderful! I love the colors of the blanket. Perfect!

Ah ... donuts.
God bless.
Hello,
It has been awhile since I have had a donut. The strawberry shortcake sounds yummy too. The blanket is looking very pretty. Love the horses!
Have a great day!
Hi Karen- It is good that Ken has the planks down for your Cloths Line- guess it will be awhile before the Decking is laid and finished- hope it isn't to long a wait. Regards. KEV.
The smell of the bakery must be enticing when you pass it, I would have to go in and get something. :) Enjoy your day.
Really nice job with those weave-it squares! Someone will be really blessed with that blanket! Horses love to eat!:-) Their feelings about grass are just like mine about strawberries and a shortcake treat! Yum!
July's baby blanket looks very patriotic. I love it. We also enjoy strawberries and whipped cream, in fact we are having some tonight.
That little horse is so sweet.
Your weather sounds ideal. It's getting a bit hot in these parts.
I like July's blanket, especially the squares with the multi colors in them.
On a side note, thank you for your continued prayers for Norma. It's been 11 years since her stroke. Unfortunately she never gained back all of her speech or her ability to walk, but she is and always has been a determined lady.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend.
I'm a fan of your July baby blanket. How nice that you can interact with people in town when you walk. Bright sunlight isn't easy to deal with in photos. Hope you have a great Friday!
Great blanket! You should give each blanket its own name. The name could be its number. "This is blanket 547!" Haha.
