Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Rolling Over

What nice weather I had walking this morning.
57 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds and a breeze.
Perfect!

Once I got to town just walked around both of the cemeteries
a few times and then it was back home.

As I was walking around the upper cemetery I noticed the horses
were back in the pasture.
One was having a grand time rolling around on the grass.
Started taking pictures walking over to the fence and this is the best
one I could get.
By the time I got over to the fence she was standing once again
and eating.  Just couldn't get her to look up at me.

Harry was out in front of his house as I walked passed on the
way home.  Told him you all liked his 'bears' which made him smile.

Turning down my street the guys were back to work cleaning
out the ditch on the side of the road.
All were friendly and had a smile and a good morning to say.

Turned around here and took the picture.

Turned back around and continued walking home.

Walked 6 miles

🌤     🙂     🌤

Very windy this afternoon so didn't work out in the woods today.

Planted some of the sunflower seeds I bought a while ago
in an egg carton and put them on the window sill .
I planted 8 of the black seeds and 8 of the white and black ones.
Will plant the rest of the seeds outside right in the dirt.

Kept busy doing my usual things around the house.
Sat out on the porch for a while before the wind drove us inside.

Hope your day was a happy one.
Thanks for visiting.

Tom - Years ago when we visited my mom and step-dad in the Adirondacks they took us to see the bears at the dump too! The kids were little then and were excited to see the bears. Thanks for bringing back that memory. 🙂

HillTop - Haven't seen any bears around for quite a while but they are out there.  We've seen the evidence.  I'm sure they have seen us but they go the other way.  I'm more concerned about dogs people let run!!

Of the several states I've resided in, Maryland always did the best job with their road repair & maintenance and snow removal.

...the weather sure can change these day, a nice morning here followed by a thunderstorm. There looks to be a lot of room in that cemetery, it's nice to see the stones standing upright, I see so many that are leaning here. They are working on the backroads here too. Take care Karen and enjoy your weekend.

Nice to have this weather for your walk. Our road crews are doing some major work on our bypass road through town which makes Main street very busy. Always a good idea to stay out of the woods in a windstorm. Hope you have a good weekend!

It looks delightfully springlike there...green and lush. Even the horse is giddy.

I noticed that the first three pictures have some of the white-blooming trees in them. They sure look pretty.

Sounds a good busy day for you Karen- good to see the Sun too. The Council workers seem to be doing a good job of the roadside. Cheers. KEV.
