Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking in the rain

52 degrees this morning when I walked and calm.
It was raining though and rained the whole time I walked.
Wore my rain pants and had my umbrella.
Too warm to wear my rain slicker.

Walked to town.

Walked all around town up and down the streets
and then headed back home.

Pretty quiet on this rainy morning.
Walked 6 miles

๐ŸŒง     ๐Ÿ™‚     ☔️

Doing all the usual things around the house today.
Housework
Weave-its
Reading
Cross Stitch

We took a drive to Grantsville to the Walgreens.
Ken had to pick up his medicine.
As we left the house just down the road was a bunch of
wild turkeys.  I managed to get a picture from the car of
one of them. Not such a great picture but I've been trying to
get a picture for a long time.

On the way back home we stopped at the scenic lookout
for a little while.  Everything is looking so nice and green from there now.

It rained on and off most of the day and then late in the day
the sun came out.
A bit too late to get outside and do any work.
Hopefully tomorrow will be sunny.

That's it for today.
A happy and healthy day to you.
Thanks for stopping by.

Vee - I use the pizza dough recipe that came with my bread machine.  The secret for making pizza at home is to bake it on a stone in the oven. It makes all the difference. The stone goes in the oven when preheating the oven and then when pizza is ready to be cooked a peel is used to put it on the stone.
If you want the dough recipe I use let me know and I'll put it on my recipe blog.

Oh, that is great that you got a shot of the turkey at all! We don't see wild turkeys very often now....probably because we are not out as much. And the ones that were just a few blocks away a year or so ago, we have not seen since. I miss seeing them and we watch for them every time we pass that way.

...a beautiful sunny day here today, some needed rain coming our way! You did well, turkeys are always difficult for me to capture. Take care and enjoy your Memorial Day weekend.

52 degrees sounds so wonderful to me right now. We had 107 yesterday......just about melted. Although we have gotten some wonderful rain. Love to see wild turkeys! Stay safe and have a wonderful weekend!

A stone...something I've wanted, but do not have...nor a peel. I'll see what I can scare up online. Don't worry about the recipe...they're all the same anyway I'm thinking. That turkey picture is crisp and clear.

Good to see the rain-it'l green things up for Summer. Has been raining here overnight and today - so we missed our daily walk. Cheers. KEV.

You got a great shot of your rainy day walk. I wore my lightest rain jacket and carried my umbrella today. Yesterday, a turkey flew up right in front of me but I didn't even have time to get my camera up.

Hello,

We had rain most of Friday, it felt warm and humid. Great capture of the turkey. I really love seeing everything turning green now, spring is a happy time. Enjoy your day, happy weekend!

Except for the rain you had perfect walking weather, not too hot, not too cold. It has been in the 80s here (very unusual) all week so we have not walked. I do not do well in extreme heat. Enjoy your weekend!

Walking in the rain sounds lovely. Everything is drying up here in California.

We carried our umbrellas this morning but didn't have to open them. It didn't really get warm... I kept my sweater on almost all day.

Sounds like a great day despite the rain. We've had a fair share of rain here which delays Dear working on the shop since it's still outdoor and ladder work. Pretty new shot in your header. I'll go and see how your Saturday was now...
