Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

No Morning Walk

Didn't go walking to town this morning.

First thing after breakfast we went to Dollar General.
There were only two other people there
Connie the librarian, and her daughter.
I started on the puzzle when we got back home and before long
Ken joined me and we finished it.
Then we went outside and worked around Happy Trails,
checking out the trails already made and making sure they were clear.
Came in for lunch and then went back outside again.
This time I just hiked around Happy Trails
which took the place of my morning walk.
I figure hiking 4 miles along the trails up and down hills on uneven ground
is like 6 miles of walking along paved streets and paths. 🙂
 So only walked 4 miles.
A few pictures along the way.

Did a little reading this afternoon and then it was supper time.
Another day just zoomed by.

No more Shirley Temple movies for us.
Though I did like them when I was a kid they are just
too corny for me to watch now.

That's all I have for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy and healthy day to you.

Happy Trails looks like a wonderful trail to walk on. I laughed when you mentioned the ST movies were too corny. When I hear or see old series and ads, I get the same feeling. :)
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and stay safe!

I like puzzles like that one...actually that is not saying much as I like most puzzles. LOL Funny how we change from kids and teen-agers. We just LOVED Lost in Space when we were young...and now it just seems so goofy.

That's one huge beautiful puzzle. I think I'm more of a 500 piece puzzle kind of gal. Stay safe!

I think 4 miles on uneven paths is as much if not more than 6 miles on smooth paths. You had another day filled with a good mix of work and fun. Stay well.

This puzzle is one of my favorites! There's an awfully lot of white which I like, but I would think it would slow me down getting it all figured out. Walking on uneven ground, uphill and down, can be challenging. I am still detouring around a cedar tree that blew down in a wind storm that came through here three or four weeks ago.

Hello,

The puzzle picture is pretty. Your Happy Trails could be the woods next to our home, it looks the same. Take care, wishing you a happy day and a great new week!

Looks like a very nice day, and I agree with you about the walking up trails vs. your regular walk.. I'm sure that you still got your workout in :)

Have a lovely weekend.

Hahahahah...too corny these days. Well, that was what I was afraid of.

Nice job on the puzzle, but you need some springy ones.

I love the puzzle. That is so cool that you can do all that hiking on your own property there at Happy Trails! Have a good Sunday. I need to get a puzzle out. I enjoy puzzles and haven't done one for a long time.
See you again soon.
