Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Lazy Day

A walk to town and since it is Monday I saw
a few more cars than yesterday but no people out walking.
It was 41 degrees and cloudy but by the time I was getting back home
the sun was starting to come out and it stayed out all day.

Walked first to the post office and dropped some mail down the slot.
Then walked around the ball park loop, around by the day care
center and lastly the lower cemetery.

Saw a bunch of deer out all along my way maybe a dozen or so.
Rabbits out too and all the birds too.
Oh, and one opossum that didn't make it across the road.

This made me smile.

Walked 6 miles

☁️     ☀️     🙂

It was a lazy day around the house today.
Made pancakes for breakfast.
Then we took out the next 1000 piece puzzle and worked on
that a good part of the day.
This one is an easy one and we should be done fairly quickly.

I had planned on posting my counted cross stitch progress each
Monday but didn't work on it all the much this past week though
I did a bit of work on it this afternoon.
So skipping this week and will post the progress next Monday.

We watched some deer stroll around outside for a while.
These are the best pictures I could get from inside the house.
Haven't seen deer near the house for a while now so was nice to
see them up close again.

There are three of them in this picture.

A simple supper of hotdogs and roasted potatoes and carrots.
I usually broil hotdogs but today they were cooked
on the griddle.  I had fun rolling them around till they were
well done, just like we like them.
Never made hotdogs that way before.

Went for a short walk just around the house after supper.

That's all for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy and healthy day to you.

We've seen a lot more deer just the last couple of days. We did some clean up of the stumps that were ground last Friday. What a mess. Enjoy the latest puzzle!

Always good to have relaxing "lazy" days now and then. So glad you don't have many cases of this darn virus near you. See you again tomorrow!

It sounds like a lovely day...doing just as you pleased and getting to walk morning and evening. Plus seeing old friends!

We made a trip to Walmart....I have Roger wait in the car. He is happy just to get out and see people pass by.

In that first pic of the deer, it almost looks like a 3 one on the far side of those logs...but it probably isn't it. Probably my imagination!

That blooming shrub/tree in the second picture is so lovely.
It must be so nice to watch the deer calmly walk around your yard.

What a beautiful tree! I bet it smelled so good! I haven't had a hot dog since last summer. I always leave on the grill until they are totally black on the outside and then on a bun wit mustard only! Yum! Have a good day!

I enjoyed your comment you left for Phoebe on her blog today and had to stop in and say hello. I too am a walker. You saw some beautiful bits of nature
