Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.

This is the day which the Lord hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.

A foggy walk

Up and out of the house at 6:50 for a walk in the fog.
It was 27 degrees and calm.
Sunrise 7:06

 Walked to town.
On the way I added another glove to a mile post along the road.
But this one I didn't find,
it is one of my old work gloves.
Ken spray painted it so it would stand out.
Thought it would be fun to put out a few more gloves and see how
long they last there.
Maybe someone else will put some out too.

Walked through town up and down the main road.
Some of the side roads were a bit slick with a light coating of ice
so I stayed on the roads that had grit.

Walked around the lower cemetery a few times.

and then back to the main road and home.

Sun trying to break through the fog.

A half mile from home and the sun was shining and
the fog was just about gone.

Walked just past my driveway to say Good Morning
to the cows.
Still haven't gotten a good picture of the babies.
There are three of them in the picture.
2 black ones and you can barely see the third one.
It is behind one of the cows and it's white head looks
like a bit of snow.  It is really tiny.

Walked 6 miles
Found a dime

🌤     💰

I made some gluten free Chickpea Chocolate Chip Cookies
to take to the dentist tomorrow.
I always bring Chocolate Chippers which is always a big hit,
but one of the technicians can't eat them because she is on a
gluten free diet.
So tomorrow she will be surprised to get some cookies too.
I got the recipe off of blogger friend Lisa's blog.

Didn't think I'd like them but they are surprisingly good
and Ken liked them too.

Got some work done in the morning and in the afternoon
made weave-it squares and read.

Sure was nice to have a day of sunshine.

That's it for today.
Thanks for visiting.
A happy day to you.

SusanQ - We have watched the Miss Fisher mysteries and like them as well.

I've forgotten who but someone asked a while ago how many vehicles and people Ken has on his train layout.
A lot of people ask that and Ken has been keeping a running total.  This is the total so far.

Hi Karen. I love today's pictures. I am wondering what kind of camera or phone you have that takes such great pictures. So fun that you are putting gloves on the mile post markers. Are the other gloves you placed still there? Hope you have a great evening and a good day tomorrow! See you then!

I love the wintry sun through the fog.

The glove almost looks like it's waving to the passing cars.
I like the way Ken has kept track of the people and cars.
I am curious about these cookies made with chickpeas. I just found a few cans in my pantry. I'm going to go check out the recipe now. That sure is nice of you to make a special batch for the technician who needs to eat gluten free.

How neat to see how many people and vehicles he has in his display! WOW! That's a LOT! Hope you have a good evening! Be careful in that fog! Hugs!

I think the glove idea is cute. I would love to know how long it stays and if anyone else adds to it too.
I love foggy walks.

Your pictures taken in the fog are wonderful, but my that sunshine surely is beautiful! However, my favorite picture for the day is of the brightly colored glove waving to everyone who passes by! What fun!

Photos are making wonderful, especially those in the fog. What camera are you using?
Do you make phone calls?

Hello,

Love the foggy scenes. The glove does look like it is waving. The little black calves are so cute. Have a great day!

Hey ... I like the idea of putting more gloves on those posts. Brilliant. Every so often, put also an old shoe. That will really confuse drivers passing by.

And ... another dime.

And ... I like the photos with fog.

This is one great post today, Happyone. God bless.

Very mysterious that fog... You captured it well. Another dime! Goodness, perhaps the tide has turned.

I love a bit of fog. Sets a mood, I think. Those cookies sound interesting and I am going to pass the recipe along to a coworker.

Quite a contrast in your morning. Those cookies sound interesting. I'll have to share that recipe with our gluten free folk.
