No waiting for it to get light to walk,
drove the Jeep to town and started my walk from there at 6:45.
It was 41 degrees with rain showers.
Sunrise 7:36
Saw our 5 deer just down the road from our house when I left.
The rain showers were on and off so my umbrella went up and
down quite a few times.
Walked all over town, up and down all the streets and walked
around both cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Nothing much happening in town but it was great to be
out there walking.
Walked 6 miles

We used to go bowling just about every week but haven't
been for just about a year now.
That changed today when we went bowling again.
There were 5 of us that went.
Ken and I left early for bowling because we stopped at church
to pick up some boxes of the Romans books that were assembled.
We hooked up the church trailer and loaded it
it with the boxes. Tomorrow we will bring them to a warehouse
in Bedford, PA and pick up more books to assemble.
Then we went on to bowling with the trailer.
Had fun bowling and my scores were:
127, 132, and 136.
Ken did better
150, 147, and 173.

After bowling we all went out to eat.
A Mexican restaurant has recently opened and we went there
to check it out.
Good food, friendly servers and reasonably priced.
Home now for a little TV, ice cream, and reading.

Kev - With the crazy up and down temperatures we are having this winter the snow hasn't been staying around for very long this year.

Not bad bowling! Mexican sounds good...there are several in Terre Haute and one is a favorite. Do you have a favorite meal? Mine is chicken fajitas...but I like other stuff, too.
Will you keep up with the bowling? We used to go regularly with a group from work and it was always so much fun. We went to the cinema today (Just Mercy) and then out for Mexican - yummy. And I highly recommend the movie. Enjoy the rest of your week.
...I haven't bowled in perhaps 40 years. My 16 year-old granddaughter bowls on her high school team, she says that it's her 'winter sport!' Take care.
Sounds like a fun day with your return to bowling. Wonder if we can drum up a few people to join us for bowling. Hmmm.
Bowling is a lot of fun. I haven't been for a while either. One of the schools I taught at had a big Christmas bowling party for the teachers. I enjoyed it. Sounds like you had another very nice day. See you tomorrow.
It's been a very long time since we last went bowling and I don't see it happening in the near future either. It can be a lot of fun though.
I used to forget to let go of the bowling ball and used to slide all the way down the alley.
God bless.
Never have had genuine Mexican Food- just homemade 'Tacos'. Like the photo of the Red Tractor (Case) with Hay Bales. Stay warm there.
Hello,
Great Bowling scores. I love Mexican food, YUM! Our temps are up and down too, I am ok if we do not see any more snow this winter. Wishing you a good day!
OH! MY! I haven't bowled in years, this sounds like so much fun, time spent with friends is so valuable,.You have so much stamina, Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Sue
A pleasant view!
Bowling and Mexican food sound like a great combo.
There was a time I bowled on two different bowling leagues; every Monday on a woman's league and every other Saturday with my husband. Then one day I just lost interest and haven't bowled since. That was about 15 years ago!
Those are fabulous scores for a couple of folks who’ve not bowled in a year! 😁
It's been a few months since we've bowled.
