Left at 7:00 when it was light enough to walk this morning.
55 degrees and windy, with a mix of sun and clouds once the sun rose.
Sunrise 7:16
On the way to town I saw 7 deer and sadly number 8
was dead on the side of the road.
Walked through town and walked up some side roads.
Made a loop around the ball park loop and stopped
at the post office to drop some mail down the slot.
Stopped for a short chat with Dwayne who was out walking too.
Then made my way back home.
Just about to get to my driveway there in the middle of the picture.
Walked 6 miles
π ⛅️ π
Ken finished the wall before lunch.
Now for the wall on the other side.
At least it is a lot smaller.
If I wasn't wearing my orange ball cap you probably wouldn't
even see my out there harvesting more rocks for Ken.
If you look under the arched stone bridge down on the right you can see
Dolly there resting again.
In the afternoon we worked on one of the trails at Happy Trails
and connected it to another one we had made.
Then we rode around in the ATV along some of the trails.
I have some pretty nice trails to walk along.
Hoping one day to have enough trails to make a nice 6 mile long route.
It sure felt like Fall today.
Temperatures stayed in the 50's.
It was sunny with a bit of wind and just perfect to be outside working.
All the bugs were gone!!!
So ends another blog post from Happy Trails.
Hope your day was a happy one.

I so love your photos...and it is so neat that Dolly stays there while you are out there walking about.
that wall looks wonderful.
Dolly is very comfortable and right at home. It’s a great day when there are no bugs. ππΌThe wall looks very sharp!
...Dolly sure has made herself at home!
Dolly knows where she is safe. All those trails sound wonderful and I'm sure filled with photo opportunities.
Ken sure did a great job of the rock fence ( with lots of help from you finding the rocks),
I love the wall! I wonder how many rocks it took to finish it. You have taught me a new term - harvesting rocks. I harvest them when I walk and toss them into piles along the trail, then later Dan picks them up with his bucket loader and dumps them where they are needed. I got the idea of picking up a rock each time I walked from Louis La'Amour. According to him it was an old Indian custom to place one beside trails to appease evil spirits. So far it has worked for me. :~)
Our temps were still in the 90s today.
Really wonderful photos. How lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
God bless.
The wall looks fabulous, Dolly's bridge is now the home of one happy deer. :) Enjoy your day and weekend.
Dolly is obviously quite comfortable around you.
The wall looks good and it certainly is a good day when there are no bugs!
All the best Jan
Nice work on your walls, you two!
