Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Purple

Drove into town, parked at the pond and started walking at 6:35.
49 degrees and once the sun came up there was a mix
of sun and clouds.
Sunrise 7:08

Walked around the cemetery at the top of the hill and then up and
down the main road in town.
Then up and down some of the side streets.

A new metal roof on a house in town.
Yes, it is purple.
First purple roof I've ever seen.
Walked over to the ball park and walked around there a couple of times
and then over to the lower cemetery and walked around there too.
Back to the car and home.
Sure nice to be out walking.

Saw only one deer and one rabbit.

Walked 6 miles
🍁     🌤
After breakfast we went to the church to unload the trailer
to get ready for a work day doing Fingerprints tomorrow.

Such a beautiful sunny fall day and much too nice to stay inside
so was outside most of the afternoon.
Didn't do much, but enjoyed walking around Happy Trails
and sitting on the porch.

Hope your day was a sunny and happy one.

Oh, my, that first shot sure trips my trigger! And I love the others, too....but that one is special.

...what a magical start to your day. I just took a shot of a purple house, man was it loud!

Unique photos at that hour of the morning... Not a fan of the purple roof.

I hate staying inside when it's nice out too. can never again walk as much as you do, so I have envy of your good feet. :) Now walking around the cemetery, I might have ran at that time of day, even with my bad ankles. LOL. Yikes on that purple roof. There a big old house in our town and it is painted that loud purple, the paint crew tried to get the lady to change her might...once done, she wasn't as crazy about it. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Those red leaves in the last picture are such a splash of colour against the still green bushes!!

I love those foggy sunrise pictures. A purple roof? now that is definitely something different.

Those morning sunrise and misty photos are so beautiful.
Looks like you're getting a bit of Autumn chill in the air.
Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend and thank you for your prayers,
they are truly appreciated :)

They must like purple.

20,000 books! Wow! Thanks for explaining where the term "Fingerprints" came from. It had confused me. I finally chose Third photo as my favorite for the day, but all of them are so good!

Your eary morning photos are absolutely gorgeous. What a nice sight to see to welcome a new day. Never saw a purple roof either but they must like that colour.
Enjoy your day

Very pretty shots from your walk.
Would be interesting to hear why they chose purple for their roof. I've seen red, blue and green, but this is the first time for purple.
