Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Deer under the bridge

Another day driving to town for my walk.
Started walking 6:38.
64 degrees and once the sun came up there was a mix of sun and clouds.
Sunrise was 7:06
Good Morning
Walked through town and up and down most of the side streets.
Back through town and then headed over to the ball park loop
and walked around there a couple of times.
Then I made my way over to the cemeteries and walked around both
of them a couple of times too.

No people or animals did I see around town.
Pretty quiet for a Monday morning.
Walked just over 6 miles
🌤     🍁
Our neighbor took a bunch of his cattle to auction on Saturday
and the poor mama cows have been calling out for their babies
the last two days.
It is such as sad sound and I feel bad for them.
Today was the first day I didn't hear them.

One of the deer has found a spot that it likes underneath the
arched stone bridge that Ken made.
The deer stayed under there for a good 3 hours.
Some times it stood, some times it laid down, and we even saw her
with her eyes closed sleeping.
I did a whole lot of dusting today and moved a bunch of little stuff
around and set things in different places.
It is almost like getting new things but not having to buy anything.

It was pretty windy and about lunch time it clouded up
and we had some rain.
Hung some laundry out and happy to say it all dried
before the rain came.

Didn't go to Brenda's for half price pizza this Monday
but stayed home and made it here.

Hope your day was a happy one.

Rose - No, I didn't make the little jean purse. Sewing IS NOT one of my talents! 🙂  I take the jean purse with me on my walks.  It is just big enough to carry my phone, pepper spray, tissue, a piece of gum, and my key.

That deer found a cozy spot for sure. We hear the mamas crying for their babies here, too. It is such a sad noise and thought. Happy Fall to you!

The bridge makes a nice spot for the deer. Wonder if she’ll be there often. I have not heard cows calling for their young...it must be mournful.

I figured the jeans purse was for your phone...it looks like what it is for.

I love that the deer love that bridge...and looking at the plants growing down there--are they wild or did you plant them? they are so pretty.

I did find that jar in the shape of a bear. It contained honey when we first bought it. Now it will be a money bank.

God bless.

Love the sunrise and fall colors. The deer is so cute, it found a safe and happy spot under the bridge. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!

Ken's structure is amazing, he is quite the craftsman. If I were a deer I would pick that lovely shelter to rest in too :)

The bridge would probably be a cool spot for a nap on a warm day.

I keep feeling like I should know what the plants are but cannot think and have been looking on google...and just cannot find what they are.
