Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A rest day

These two pictures are from yesterday afternoon
just before a rain shower moved over us.
🌦     🌦
It was 60 degrees and cloudy with just a little breeze
on my morning walk.

Wanted to mail a Netflix so walked to town to the post office.
Then it was a walk around the ball park loop.
This yard backs onto the ball park.
Made a stop at the old house.
Had another viewing yesterday which was the 4th one.
Feed back was they were somewhat interested and gave the house
a number 4 out of 5.
There is another viewing tomorrow and this one looks promising
because it is the second time they are coming.
Walking through town and on the way home Ken
passed me in the truck going to meet Edd for breakfast.

Some of the lilacs in town are blooming.
This one hangs over the sidewalk and was the perfect height
for me to stop and smell the wonderful fragrance.
Just a little ways down there is a white one but it doesn't smell half
as good as the purple ones.

About a half mile from home I felt the first drops of rain.
It turned into a very light drizzle which
actually felt nice because I was a bit warm.
I no sooner got in the house when the clouds let go of the rain!!

No animals today accept for the neighbor cows,
and all the birds.

Walked 6 miles
🌷     🌸     🌼
The weather couldn't make up its mind what to do today.
To be sunny or rain,
and it changed frequently.

Too wet to work outside so we took this as a day of rest.
Didn't do much of anything.
Got some knitting done and read.
Still a nice day and enjoyed knitting, which I haven't done for a while.

Hope your made your day a happy one.

...everyone needs a rest now and then. The dandelions are in the glory here, but the lilacs need another week.

Spring looks pretty sprung there.

Love the atmosphere of those first two photos...no animals can be good...specially if it is dogs. But I like it when you see/photograph the horse and cows..or any of them really.

Praying that one one these times the house will sell. My nose is not very sensitive anymore, so I really miss the smell of the Lilacs.I used to so enjoy that fragrance.

Good thing the heavy rain held off until you were back home.

Nice to know you don't work ALL the time. *smile*

Lovely sky photos through the trees.
In answer to your question, I thought what I was getting was a marrow, which is what zucchini grows into if you let it go. But it's not and I'm not quite sure what it is. It tasted the same though and the dish was rather a success so that was good :)

Oh, I love Lilacs! They are beautiful as well as fragarent. Hope the second viewing by these prospective buyers ends in a sale.

The lilac blossoms are pretty. They come out here later in the month, though considering how other things are late this year, it could be June.
