Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

❤️ French Toast

I suppose I could have taken my morning walk outside because
this morning brought a mix of sun and clouds,
but it was still cold and icy.
So walked once again around in the basement.
A couple more pictures of Ken's Trains.
A closer look.

I made us French toast for breakfast and because it is
Valentine's Day
cut a couple of hearts out in the bread.
Later in the morning I kept thinking that I should have just went
walking outside anyway.
So when it came time for my book club meeting down at
the library, I decided to walk there.
Meeting was at 11:30 and I left at 10:45.
It had warmed up to 35 degrees by that time.
The sun went back behind the clouds so I had a cloudy walk there.

Enjoyed the meeting with all the women.
There were 10 of us and two of them were celebrating their birthdays today.

Ken picked me up after the meeting and we went out to
do some errands.
Dropped some things off at the church
Went to Lowe's
Shopped at Walmart
We had lunch while we were out too.

Made some weave-it squares but not for the bedspread.
I've put that aside for a bit to work on a baby blanket.

This evening I'll read, make some more weave-its and watch a Netflix.
Tonight we will be watching Foyle's War.
We bought some Klondike bars today so will have one
of those tonight, a double chocolate one.

Hope your day was a happy one.

Vee - Glad you enjoyed those chocolate cookies.  They are a big hit with the kids, and with the adults too. 😃

I hope my Valentines like them. Haven’t heard from anybody regarding the cookies yet. I liked them, which is dangerous. Let’s just say that my six are history.

Sounds as if you had a full and fun day and you even got in lots of walking both inside and out.

Glad you were able to get a bit of walking in today and then with shopping it helped to get in your steps for the day. Ken's work is amazing...and please tell him I said so. Such talent!

Love it that you cut some hearts out of the bread when you made the French toast this morning. That was sweet...

I have been having trouble getting "into the groove" when it comes to crocheting a baby blanket that I seriously need to get done soon because the baby boy is already a week old.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Foyle's War is one of our favorites! I so wish they would come out with more seasons. Your French toast looks tasty. But Roger and I both have a cold and just don't feel like doing much, eating much.

You can tell that Ken has put a lot of work and detail into putting the trains together. it almost looks real!
Glad you were able to walk outside today, I missed mine because we were running errands and didn't get home until it was night.
I do love Klondike bars!
Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comment.
Blessings,
Sue

I enjoyed the "closer look" of the railway yard. The workers are so industrious. We have been trying to figure out what they are all doing. I agree with the others that Ken is quite talented with his layouts. Our warmer days are once again giving way to a week or so of freezing nights.
