The sunset last night from the front porch.
Last night when we were out we saw that some people
have already put up Christmas lights and decorations.
Seems so early, not even Thanksgiving yet.
Up and out walking at 7:40 this morning. Cool and crisp out there with
a temperature of 30 degrees.
This poor little goldenrod is the only one still hanging on.
Had my usual walk to town.
Walked around town a bit and around one of the cemeteries.
A house a block off the main road in town has been abandoned for
the 5 years that we've lived here. I watched the porch rot away and
fall off. I am happy to say that it looks like someone has started to
fix it up. I'll be keeping my eye on it.
Some low hanging clouds around but some sun shining through too while
I was in town.
Once down off the main road heading home the clouds got thicker
the farther I walked up the hill.
Just about home here. That's my driveway up there on the left.
🌤 ⛅️
Happy to say though that the clouds moved off and let the sun out.
Happy to say though that the clouds moved off and let the sun out.
We went out and did a few errands.
Ended up getting more spray cans of paint for the other three
pieces of lattice for the porch.
We got them painted and put up and was able to cross another
item off our to do list.
I was supposed to go to my book club meeting today but all week I was
thinking it was next Thursday and didn't finish the book.
We meet on the second Thursday of the month and I think
with this month starting on Thursday last week it through me off.
Watched a deer again today out back.
She stayed around for the longest time.
We went outside this time and she let us get pretty close.
Well that's it for today.
Hope your day was a happy one.

...I'd love to sit on your porch and see sunsets like this one. The little ragweed is actually a little goldenrod. It's nice to see an old house given a new life. Be careful walking in that fog.
Lots of folks decorate early here before it gets too cold. They may string lights, but they don’t usually put them on.
Another big job done on the lattice painting. That stuff’s not easy to paint unless spraying it as you did.
I’ve had deer in my backyard munching pumpkins. This was the third morning they’ve been around.
Gorgeous sky!
Thanks for the correction. I'll go back back and change it. : )
I hope they get that old house fixed up and give it new life. Love that you have a deer to watch. And yes...I've been hiking even more lately! You know how we are...we love our morning walks! Enjoy your evening! Hugs, Diane
Beautiful sunset photo. Glad someone decided to save that old farmhouse.
That first sky shot is incredible.
I can imagine flowers don't last long there.
It would be nice if someone did fix up that house. We see so many houses around here, houses still in good shape, torn down to make way for much larger, fancier houses.
Wishing you a great weekend.
God bless.
Hello, love the beautiful sky photo. Your foggy scenes are pretty too. It will be nice to see the farmhouse renovated. The deer are in hiding here, since hunting began. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
What a stunning view from the porch...gorgeous sunset! It sure is nice that someone is showing some love to that great old house. And like you, I agree...let's have Thanksgiving first!
It will be interesting to watch the renovations (hopefully) of that beautiful old home.
What a fabulous sunset, a great photograph.
All the best Jan
Poor goldenrod. Last night was our first hard freeze. All the plants were frozen and flopped over this morning. I love old houses like that one. I especially like all the windows in that room in the back.
