Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sunny and warm

Left the house right at 7:00.
It was just starting to get light,
temperature was 59 degrees and very calm.

Walked to town and around the cemetery at the top of the hill
a couple of times and then down to the pond by the Drane house.
Thought I'd say hi to the horses but they were no where to be seen.
Then headed back home.

As I turned down my street the sun was shining brightly
everywhere but where you see that low hanging cloud
and that is right where I live.
By the time I got there the cloud had moved on.
An uneventful morning walk but enjoyable.

Another nice sunny summer like day and we spent most of it outside.
I continued clearing dead fall and making the fence.

The one thing left to do yet is for the gutters to be put on the house.
Our builder Ronnie called today to say that Monday
is the day for that to happen.
So Ken worked on getting another drainage pipe put in that will
take the water from the downspout away from the house.

For part of the afternoon I sat out on the porch watching Ken
and reading.

So thankful for these warm nice sunny days in October.

Hope your day was a happy one.

Now I sometimes feel as if there’s a dark cloud above me...you have proof! Ha! Glad that it moved on. Your days are so active and full that I am glad when you tell us about relaxing and reading. You may be one of the most balanced people I know!

I'm thankful that I live in a world where there are Octobers too!
I adore this season, and those sunny days are precious days in which to prepare for winters sleep :)
Best of luck with the gutters. It will be nice to have that item checked off your list.

Smiles :)

Hello, beautiful sunrise. I love the sun's rays and lighting. We start off with some foggy damp mornings lately. Enjoy your day and have a great new week!

I love the sunrise photo. Glad you are enjoying life in your new home. Are the leaves changing yet? I am leading another hike up on the Laurel Highlands Trail soon, and hope to see some great color up in those mountains.

Love the quote and the beautiful photos, summer is still hanging on here with high temps. and lots of humidity, with another storm lurking in the gulf, with predictions of coming our way..
Thank you for visiting and for you kind thoughts about the storm, we are still cleaning up, but thanking the Lord for His blessings,
Blessings,
Sue
