Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside.

The Old Rugged Cross is a favourite of mine..my beloved Grandmother used to sing it all the time. Thank you for sharing such wonderful hymns

So many of the wonderful old Hymns are just being set aside in favour of newer songs and it's sad to think they might be forgotten.
In my church we still sing all the old hymns. : )
I know all of those songs by heart. Our church still sings hymns. Sometimes we throw in some new stuff but I lke the old fashioned songs just as well. While packing up and cleaning the camper this morning I found a radio station that sung those old hymn but with todays singers. It sounded so good.
