60 degrees this morning while walking.
A mix of sun and clouds at first and then the last mile and a half of
my walk the sky let loose and it poured and I was soaked by the time I got home.
Walked the usual streets around town and the cemeteries and
ball park loop.
No one else about that I saw.
The geese were back and they are getting pretty brave.
They don't all fly or run away when I walk by now.
Always nice to be walking early in the morning.
Walked 6 miles

We spent the day going back and forth from the stone place to the
new house with 5 trailer loads of red crush and run gravel for the top of the
driveway by the garages.
The weather was very changeable from sun, clouds, and rain.
And it all depended on where we were.
Driving down the road it was raining, then a couple miles down
the road it was dry and it was just back and forth like that.
We were lucky in that every time we were at the house
unloading the gravel it didn't rain.
Maybe not so much luck as God helping us. 😊
Each trailer load, we brought back 2 tons of gravel.
It sure doesn't seem to go very far.
There is a mix of gray and red crush and run right now but it
will all be red when we get done.
Ken is tamping it down here. What a difference that makes.
It packs down really well.
That was pretty much my day.
Plan to read, work on a baby blanket, and watch
a Netflix show and have my ice cream this evening.
We have been watching Midsomer Murders.
Hope you enjoyed your day and you smiled often.

...at best we are having a drizzle now now, barely settling the dust. When I was in business I'd buy red stone from Pennsylvania, it was a good seller.
It's looking good!
That is a lot of work, but I know you'll love having the gravel project completed.
We love to watch Midsomer Murders, and have watched them all the way through the series, at least twice.
We're watching Lark Rise to Candleford at the present time, and enjoying that also.
Have a nice evening.

Sounds like a lot of work
That porch! 😮

Love the first photo with the mist in the valley … and I am jealous of your rain. We could really use some here. Glad to hear things are continuing to progress … that gravel driveway is going to look so nice. Finally - your quote is spot on. Goes well with that old saying - if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!
It is a lot of gravel you need but when you are done I can see it will look so nice.
We used to watch Midsomer Murders every week. We both preferred Tom Barnaby over the one that replaced him, can't remember if his name was John.
Hello, that is a lot of work. I am sure it will look wonderful when it is done. Pretty sky image. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
I'll have to look for that show. We sure would like a new series to watch. Hope you've had a good wall this morning. It looked like rain but now the skies are bright! Hugs!
I really enjoy Midsomer Murders! I see a lot of my Outlander characters from the series on there. It's hard to dress for a walk with changeable weather like that! When is the inspection and live in date for your new home?
Glad things worked out well for your gravel work. It really is amazing how many loads it takes to cover all that ground. Midsomer Murders is a favorite of mine.
You certainly seem to be working hard on the new house. Best wishes.
God bless.
You mention Midsomer Murders. How come it takes them so long to solve the original murder by which time many others have died too? And then they bravely resolve the case within an hour of TV. If they were really clever they would read the whole script then they would know straight away who the culprit is.
God bless.
I bet you’re both exhausted with all the coming and going. Midsomer murders is a nice gentle series for the end of a busy day xx
Hi Karen, I just read back a few posts to get caught up around here. I feel so out of it with blogging this summer. Seems like all free time is being spent on purging, packing or making decisions here or at the new house. I'm enjoying every minute, but a bit all consuming. Anyhow, I was thrilled to see that you have already started to move some things into your new house. It looks so nice. I love your kitchen! You must be excited to be so close to being fully into your new home.
We've only seen the ones with Barnaby in them so far and we like him and will probably like him best too. : )
I just wear the same clothes. : ) Then it turns cold I'll just add a sweatshirt and long pants.
One of the inspectors came today. I'll say more in my post later today.
Watching Midsomer Murders, a good TV series... a nice way to end a busy day.
All the best Jan
