Another day another walk. 😊
This time my walk was around the Farm Loop.
It was 64 degrees and a cloudy morning with no breeze.
Passing by the dairy farm there were a few cows in the front pasture.
Didn't see any people and no cars all along the road in the picture above.
Just the cows, lots of birds and me.
Walked between fields of soy beans and corn.
Once back to town I walked another couple of miles around there
to make a total of my usual 6 miles.
🦉 🦉 🦉
Finished off the rhubarb cobbler for breakfast and yes
I did have a small scoop of ice cream with it.
Ken doesn't care for rhubarb so I have to eat the whole
thing myself. That is why I can't make it very often.
Once again I sat down and started reading but just had to read the last
30 pages of my book. Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate.
I thought it was very good and a page turner.
It was fiction but based on the true story of the
Tennessee Children's Home Society in Memphis scandal.
Looking forward to seeing how the others liked the book at
tomorrows book club meeting.
By this time the clouds moved off and the sun moved in.
Ken bought a new battery for my car and put it in.
I gave my car a good washing and then went for a little ride.
After lunch we had a couple of errands to run and then
Ken dropped me off home and he went up to the new house.
Picked out the next book to read from among the books on my to read shelf.
The Pact by Jodi Picoult
Hope your day was a happy one.

Such lovely colour blooms, summer is a great season.
Glad you enjoyed the rhubarb cobbler.
All the best Jan
...oh I like that foggy start to your day!
Love scene and beautiful flowers.
Sounds like a great day! I love that first picture in today's post, Karen. I love to watch the fog rise! Your cone flowers are beautiful. Mine are really pretty this year as well.
Your walk sounds very nice. I'm waiting for a cooler morning for my next walk...maybe it will be tomorrow! And I love Lisa Wingate and will look for that book. Hugs!
One of the life's problems, good food that you can't finish alone
Your Coneflowers are very pretty.
I would be in that same pickle that you are in regarding the rhubarb...I would have to eat it all. Those purple thistles are beautiful!
Hello, I recently read that book, it was a page turner. Love your pretty flowers.
Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
beautiful, cheery flowers!
Pretty summer blooms!
I hope the weather stays perfect for your walk, walk, walking!
Actually they are not thistles, but Liatris also known as Blazing Star. They spread well and come back every year.
Your walk sounds lovely as does the temperature. It's usually cool in the mornings here, but it has been muggy here lately. Love the flower pics.
I love your path photo, looks like a perfect time of day for a long walk.
The pink daisies are so pretty too!
Your blog is so well presented, I like this theme a lot. I visit a lot of blogs so I notice the good ones. LOL
Happy week to you!!!
Thank you. I try to make it easy on the eye to read.
