Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Barn Collective

Linking up with Tom today for his Barn Collective series.
This barn I pass often on my morning walk.
This angle of it is from one of the cemeteries.
Looking through the trees at the neighbors barn at the new house.

At 6:30 this morning when I left on my walk it was 58 degrees,
sunny with no hint of a breeze.

Walked around town including both cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Quiet around town with the sidewalk workers gone, no one at
the house being taken down, and the Rolling Pin Bakery closed on Mondays.
Didn't see any people about either.
Just me and the birds and the rabbits.
 Another fine morning for walking.
Walked 6 miles

Yesterday afternoon a thunderstorm rolled by so everything got a nice watering.
Nice when that happens and then it is sunny again.

Ken was already up at Happy Trails at the new house when I
got back from walking.

I've been on a French toast kick for breakfast so made that again.

Got a load of laundry hung out on the line.

Tomorrow is our son David's birthday and he didn't want a cake so I baked
him is very own batch of Chocolate Chippers.

Made Italian Meatballs and got that in the slow cooker for supper.

David had the day off from work and was out for a walk/hike
and stopped by for a while.

The rest of the day I did a some weeding
and a little reading.

It's been a nice sunny summer day.
Hope your day was a happy one.

...love the barn off in the distance with the beautiful blue sky and the peek-a-boo weathered barn. If you tried to do some weeding here it would be like working in concrete. Thanks Karen for stopping by, enjoy. πŸ˜€

Sounds as if you had a lovely day today. We didn't get the rain you did yesterday, but we could use it.

Hello, Happy birthday to your son. It must be nice to have him living close by now. We missed the rain and we could use some now. Beautiful views of the barns and sky. Enjoy your day!

You amaze me Karen. You make life sound so easy and simple and happy. Guess that's how it is when you are the "happy one". And that's why I enjoy your blog. I looked at your Italian Meatballs recipe. It sounds so good. I'm going to try it soon. Thank you.
