Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

changeable weather

Woke up to hearing the rain beating down on the roof.
Too cozy in bed so didn't get up right away but just stayed there
listening to the rain.
Didn't walk first thing this morning.
Got a few things done around the house and had breakfast.
By this time it was just drizzling.
Ken went up to the new house to do some work and I went along with him
dressed in my rain gear.
Thought I'd start my walk by walking back to town from there.
It was 44 degrees and the rain had stopped.  As you can see the rain
washed away all the snow.

This street sign on a private drive always makes me smile.
Must be a retired farmer.
Walking through town I realized it was garbage day and we had
forgotten to put it out this morning.  So I walked directly home and put
out the garbage just in time.
While home I changed out of my rain clothes and continued my
walk around town.  It is 2 1/2 miles from the new house to home so
walked the other 3 1/2 around town.

For a short while some blue sky came through the clouds and the sun
 made a brief appearance.
The little stream behind the ball park was muddy and high
from all the rain.
Over by the town pond 4 people were fishing.
Walked around both cemeteries and then headed back home.
Found a penny. 😊
🌷     🌷
Ken came home for lunch and by this time it was raining once again.
We took the dump trailer and went to the stone place and got yet
another load of gravel.
Since it was raining Ken just parked the trailer in our driveway.

I enjoyed getting some reading done this afternoon.
A nice thing to do on a rainy afternoon. 📖

I made lasagna and Ken made garlic bread for supper.
By this time the rain had stopped and the sun was shining
so Ken went up to the new house after we ate with the trailer full
of stone to dump it and rake it out.
He's up there now doing that.
Wonder what tomorrows weather will be?!

Hi Happyone, Really enjoyed your pictures today. Gotta love that Dunfarmin Drive sign. The stream pics are neat too.

Nothing like a cozy start to the day when it is raining. We are to have snow on Friday. Boo!

Hello, I enjoy reading on a rainy day. I am glad you were still able to get out for your walk. Your hubby is really handy. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

Spring sure is taking her sweet time. I try not to think about it, but...

Lots of work being done on the new house. You must be very close to being able to move in. How exciting that will be!
