Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Snow and sun

I had a walk in the rain yesterday morning.
Today I walked while snow fell from the sky.
Just a few flurries at first and then it appeared to stop.
The sun came over the mountain and I even saw
a bit of blue sky.
That was just a tease though and before long it disappeared and
it started snowing again.

I dropped off a book at the library book drop and then headed on
over to the post office and dropped a Netflix disc down the slot there.
We had been just watching Netflix through streamlining but
there were some shows we couldn't get that way so added a plan
that included a couple of discs in the mail too.

Had my usual 6 mile walk up and down the streets in town
and around both cemeteries and the ball park loop.

Yesterday we went to Lowe's and ordered the new kitchen appliances.
Cook top, wall oven, microwave and refrigerator.
Checked around for the best prices and with the 10% military discount
Lowe's had the best prices.
Also bought the faucets for the bathroom sinks.

Ken had planned on going up to the new house to work but the
snow kept him home.
By lunch time though, the sun came out and took away all traces
of the snow so Ken went up to the house after lunch.

I was home getting some cleaning done and reading some more.
Truth be told I read a bit more than cleaned. 😊

Waiting now for Ken to come back home.
Then we will got out to eat somewhere and before coming home
will do a little shopping at Walmart.

...same here! A few inches of wet snow overnight, then a bit of sun and now light snow. Is this spring?

Thats what we did last night. Eat, then Walmart. Never go to the grocery store hungry!

Snow!

It is bright and sunny here. When does Spring kick in there?

Have you always walked this much?

Should be any day now. : )
If you click on 'Walk' under the header all your walking questions will be answered.

I'm ready to spend some time reading. We hiked today and on the days we hike...I'm always extra tired! Enjoy your evening! Hugs

I can't believe it is still snowing there. I just clicked on your "walk" page. That is so interesting. You have been walking a long time! Wish I had the nerve to get out and walk by myself. I get lots of steps here, but that's not the same as a good long walk.

It seems that all overwinter is just not giving up yet.

I have the one-disc plan, there are certainly many movies that we'll never see show up on Instant

Next year, when the house is all done, we'll probably have nice spring weather. It seems building a house brings out the worse weather.

More reading than cleaning is always a good thing, I think :)
