Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Book Club

We never did go to church last night.
We looked out of the window and the snow was coming down fast and
heavy.  Couldn't even see the street and decided it was safer to stay home.

20 degrees this morning and no wind when I walked this morning
and at first there was even a bit of blue sky and sun
as I walked up and down the main street in town.

Thought I heard a Killdeer this morning near the pond and when I looked around
sure enough there it was.  I see them every year around here.
They are cool, interesting birds.

The side roads were pretty icy and you can see here the grit that
was put down to help with that.
Walked around the ball park loop and by the time I got to the
second cemetery the sun and blue sky was gone and it was back to snowing.
Snowed pretty heavy at times and snowed till I got back home.

Again I didn't see anyone else out walking this morning.
Walked 5.6 miles
 🍀     🍀
Walked to the library at 10:45 for the Book Club meeting,
that I thought started at 11:00 but it actually starts at 11:30
so I was a 1/2 hour early.  Walked home again and then walked
back to the library at the right time.
The meeting was changed a while back from Wednesday evening to Thursday
morning and this was the first day time one I went to.
I like going at this new day and time better.
I don't feel rushed having to leave to go to church.

This months book was Teatime for the Firefly
by Shona Patel.
We all liked it and had a good discussion.
There were 11 of us there today.

The book for next month is a non-fiction book
Liar Temptress Soldier Spy
by Karen Abbott.
It's about four women undercover in the Civil War.

Ken picked me up at the library and we went to have a quick bite to eat
at BK and then went up to the house site.
The only thing to report is that the dry wall is finally finished.
I have a feeling the April move in date will be moved to May.
But that is okay, I am patient.  We will get there all in good time.

We've seen a little bit of sun once in awhile in between snow showers
all day.  Snowing now as I type this.

Life is Good
Count your blessings and have a happy day.

Definitely best to be safe rather than sorry in bad weather conditions!

It's amazing to me how quickly your new home is going up and soon you will be living in it, enjoying the new house smell!
I bet you are still very thankful for your warm jacket!
Take care, good Karen.

I know...these on snow off snow days are a bit confusing for the wildlife. We can always tell when the weather is going to be bad because of how fast and furious the birds come and go at the feeders. We saw two deer out this evening on the other side of our fence. The ground is totally covered now so we may end up getting that 3-6 inches they are calling for our area. But the killdeer are back is certainly a wonderful sign that spring is on its way. :-)

You took pretty snow photos on your walk and nice you can walk to book club. Patience is a great virtue especially when building a home; you are doing good.

All your wonderful snow looks so pretty in the photos. I know you've had more than your fill, but I wish we would get more this year.

It's freezing out there. And it looks slippery too. Take care.

God bless.

Snowy patterns do not make me happy at this time of year. Just call me Cranky. Seriously, I am thinking of pulling the blinds so I don’t have to look at it anymore.

Patient is a wonderful thing to be, but I hope that you are surprised to find that you can move in April after all. Oh the Thursday morning Book Club time does sound ever so much better.

I like to see the snow, but glad we are not having it here.

It's been warm here, but yesterday we did get a few flurries just out of the blues. literally. It was blue skies. A dark cloud came through with snow falling. It was rather pretty but glad it didnt last.
