Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A foolish man

Left the house at 6:45 and it was 42 degrees and just slight breeze.
It was dry when I left but then it was a bit misty once in a while
but nothing to get me wet.

Had my usual walk around town, up and down all the streets, the cemeteries
and the ball park loop.
If I was a car thief I saw the perfect opportunity to steal one this morning.
Walking past the post office a man stopped in the road here,
left the car running with his door open and went inside the post office.
I was tempted to get in the car and drive it down the road a bit
just to show him how easy it would be to steal his car.
But on second thought, I thought that might not be such a good idea.
So I just continued on walking.

A couple of birds out house hunting and think their search has ended.
Looks like a great place to build a nest and lay a few eggs.
It was a nice 6 mile walk this morning. 😊
🍀     🍀
A misty rainy kind of day and I spent the morning getting some house work done.

Thought I'd better get my work done first because what I really
wanted to do was read.
If I had started reading I wouldn't have done any work.
This way I got to do both things.

Life is Good
Count your blessings and have a happy day.

You must live in a very safe area if the man never even closed the car door!!

Yes, good thing you thought twice! 😉 It does show that your community is a quiet, safe one or at least that man thinks so. Of course, you do as well because you’re out walking all around every day.

When I read that line, "A couple of birds out house hunting" . . . it through me after seeing the first photo, LOL. I was thinking why do birds look for outhouses, what would be the attraction, LOL.
Anyway, you put a smile on my face and even a little giggle . . . thanks:)
Have a sweet day.
Connie :)

Silly man. He definitely doesn't live in the big city. We had sunshine today...so nice. Good to get the work done and then sit down and relax with a book. Blessings.

Wow. I'm impressed with your evil side even if you didn't go through with it.

You have to wonder what that person was thinking, leaving his car like that.

I can definitely tell that the birds are thinking it is spring. But March sure came in like a Lion here - very high winds!

In the UK it is against the law to leave your keys in the car.

God bless.

But it was only for a few seconds, right? About the same amount of time it would have taken for it to be GONE!

Didn't know that.
