Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another puzzle finished

Picture from yesterday's walk.
🌻     🌻
A warm morning walk today.  40 degrees with a slight wind under cloudy skies.
Most of the snow is gone again and I got to walk in my normal walking shoes.
Which by the way I need a new pair one day SOON.

Walked through town on clear sidewalks
and went up Sale Barn Rd to see if the cows were out.
They were.
Headed down the main road to Happy Trails, then back to town,
around both cemeteries and the ball park loop.

Saw no people out walking but did see a few rabbits hopping about in the cemetery.

Walked 5.3 miles
🌻     🌻
Right after breakfast we went to pick up the tractor from the dealer.
The same part that broke a couple of months ago broke again.
This time they fixed it at no charge.

Dropped the tractor off at the house site and while Ken unhooked
the tractor trailer from the truck and hooked up the dump trailer
I walked over to see a couple of my neighbor cows.
We then went and picked up a couple tons of stone for the driveway.
Ken  dropped me off home and he went to the house site to dump
the stone.  He went back for another load too.

The latest puzzle was finished today.
Today we made homemade pizza for supper which is always a treat.

Started another book this afternoon.
This one is by Joyce Carol Oates.  I think her books are very good but I find them
depressing and have to read a 'happy book' when I finish one of them.
Well off I go to read a little more before my
ice cream snack while watching Neflix.

Count your blessings and have a happy day.

Today I'm thankful for:
  • Snowless sidewalks and a walk in regular walking shoes
  •  Homemade pizza

Sounds like you had a fun day today with spending a good bit of it out and about with Ken. I love days like that when I can spend it with Carroll. :) Love the interesting puzzle of Maryland!

I'm so happy that you have nice clean sidewalks to walk on again. I'm so afraid of falling in the winter . . . I took one fall this year, but wasn't hurt. All it takes is a little ice.

What kind of cheese and brand do you use on your homemade pizza, I can never find one I like

It looks very cold where you are. Colder than here in the UK.

At the risk of advertising myself, if you want a happy book, read my memoirs:

God bless.

Things are looking downright chilly in your first photo, but I am glad you were able to have a nice walk on clear sidewalks.
What a neat puzzle! You sure do get those puzzles put together fast.

That first picture with the icicles is amazing. It looks so cold!! I almost bought a puzzle the other day. But I know how I am. I'll go to work on it and won't be able to leave until it's done. :)

We put Kraft Parmesan and Mozzarella (Kraft or Walmart brand) on our pizza.

That cow photo makes me think of that saying “Til the cows come home” haha.
Its 58 degrees here today but we are expecting snow on Sunday.

Wow. Those are some serious icicles. We don't see those very often at all. Maybe next winter when we are living in Colville we'll see some. I like that second cow shot! Have a good weekend.
