Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

House Picture

🏡     🏡
Up and out of the house at 7:20 this morning for a walk around town.
It was 38 degrees and the sun was out for a short while before it
clouded over.
First stopped at the library to drop another book down the slot.
Then a walk twice around the ball park loop
and a couple of times around both cemeteries.
Stopped down at the barn by the Drane house to say good morning to the
horses.  They barely looked up as I talked to them.
Pretty quiet around town early this Saturday morning.
This morning my walk was up to 4.2 miles, before long I'll be back to my
usual 6 miles.
Lovely to be outside.
🏡     🏡
The latest puzzle, I think it is number 5.
I baked a BIG batch of Chocolate Chippers for the kids at church
for tomorrow.

This is the stone we picked out yesterday.
For the porch and inside wall by the gas stove in the living room.
After lunch we went up to the house site.  It has been a while since I was there
and was nice to see all the progress.
The French door and window in the dining area.
Propane Gas Tank
which is on the side by the garage.
Pretty sure the move in date will be some time in April.

It's been a nice day and another one to be thankful for my many blessings.
Count your blessings and have a happy day.

So much progress since we saw the house last. It has a perfect setting and is nice and high. That's the first thing my husband looks for...a high elevation to be above any water that might flood.

That sky photo is gorgeous.... and so is your new home. It's changed so much since I last visited. I'm so sorry you've had the flu. I saw in the news that there are 3 deaths from the flu at one of our local hospitals. Scary stuff. Take care of yourself!

Wow! The last photos that I saw of the house were nothing to how far along it is coming now . . . I love that you kept so many of the close trees. I see so many people go in to build and they just scrape the land of all trees and build on a bare muddy lot. Those tree will provide you with lots of shade as well as the lovely music from the birds. It's going to be such a tranquil and relaxing home.
Counting my blessing daily.
Connie :)
