Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Town Pond Sunrise

Sunrise this morning down by the town pond.
Took this one about 2 minutes later.
🌲     🌲
Pretty warm this morning considering it is the end of November,
43 degrees and though it was sunny during my walk it clouded
up right after I got back home.

Walked my usual walk all around town, including both cemeteries
and the ball park loop.

Another quiet early morning around town.
Only person I saw was Lisa running.

Walked 6 miles
🌲     🌲
After breakfast we headed up to HT at the house site and did a bit
of a clean up.  Got a fire started for burning still more brush and
building debris.
I tried using the leaf blower to get rid of all the leaves inside the house,
but I ended up doing was blowing them all over the place.
Ken took over and got them all out of the house.
Now that the roof is on and the leaves are off the trees the house
should stay cleared of them .

We took a lunch with us and ate up there.
After lunch I decided to come home.
Ken stayed to do some work with the tractor.

I wanted to get back to reading my book.

A happy day to you.

but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and,
as the magnet finds the iron,
so it will find in every hour,
some heavenly blessings."

Some of you asked about the jacket I bought from LL Bean.
You can see it HERE.
I got the purple one.

Beautiful photos. Good to see your jacket is bright for early morning darkness. We go to the gym sometimes early in the a.m. (5:30) and it's amazing how many people walk down the road with black clothes on! It's a wonder they don't get hit.

We live next to a forest, the leaves just keep blowing back into our yard. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and new week!

Beautiful pictures and there's just something about water that makes them even more special. We don't have any here, but we do have morning mists this time of the year and they are special too. It will be in the 40s tomorrow, about 75 today, so a big drop. Finally, says this old Swede who longs for winter.

Gorgeous photos Karen! I have a friend who doesn't get up until 8:30 every morning. I have told her how many times she has missed gorgeous sunrises. She isn't impressed!
Have a wonderful week!
