Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A full day

A picture from last week.
๐Ÿ’ฆ     ๐Ÿ’ฆ     ๐Ÿ’ฆ
The temperature this morning was 55 and it was a rainy one.
I wore my rain pants, yellow slicker and took along the umbrella too.
Raining pretty hard at first but then just a drizzle and then it finally stopped
altogether, at least for the rest of my walk.
It's been raining all day.
The little stream behind the ball park loop has a lot more water in it than usual.
I walked through town down toward Happy Trails, then back to town,
around both cemeteries once and once around the ball park loop.
Passed by my house and dropped off the umbrella,
then continued on over to the industrial park and walk around there.
Back home for a 6.1 mile walk.

Didn't see anyone else out walking
nor did I see any animals.

It's been a busy day today.
Left the house at 8:55 and met Ronnie at the store to pick out
windows and doors for the house.
That is not an easy thing to do.  So many choices!!!
But finally we did get it all picked out.
Also decided on the kind and color of roofing shingles.

Next it was off to another store to pick out the siding and trim and garage doors.

With that done we stopped and had a bite to eat.

Then off to church to fix the cutter that we use for cutting
the Romans books.  It stopped working last time we did Fingerprints.
Ken figured out what was wrong but didn't have the proper tools to fix it.
So while we were there we stapled some books that didn't get done
last time.  We will go back tomorrow so Ken can fix the cutter.

We were there a couple of hours and then went to Walmart and did some shopping.

We then stopped at the key store to get another key made for the truck.
Keys certainly aren't cheap anymore!!!

By now it was after 5 and since we have to pass Brenda's on the way
home we stopped there for pizza.

It's been a long day and is nice to be home to enjoy a quiet evening.

Hope your day was a happy one.

Al those choices for the new house are a challenge! We picked a washer and drier in a rush and have ended up feeling we made a big mistake! But it's too late now.

You did a lot of running around! Days like that wear me out....and it was one of those days here, too. Always so glad to get home after being gone all day.

You DID do lots of choosing! I can’t wait to see your finished house.

Choosing can be terribly challenging. You did well to power through all those choices, Something like that can tire you more than walking 6 or 7 miles. My daughter is still having to make choices and it is rough work for her and me. Why me? I have to keep my mouth shut. Ha!

Hi Karen, certainly a busy day for you. We had a lovely day yesterday after torrential rains on Sunday.
Looking forward to seeing all your choices for your new home.

It is very cold and wet here too.
Chosing windows and doors is very difficult as it's such a major part of the build.
Have a great week :)

I don't have a blog, but love following yours! I also enjoy walking and try to get out everyday-not for 6 miles! It's fun watching the construction of your new home, wish many blessings upon you!

That’s a lot of rain when the river swells brown!
So many choices for your new home but fun to imagine it all coming together!
