Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Friday

๐ŸŽƒ     ๐ŸŽƒ     ๐ŸŽƒ
A nice crisp fall morning.
32 degrees and sunrise was at 7:40 and then it was sunny.
Most of my walk now a days is in the dark.

Headed over to the laundromat to put up a church flyer for a
coming event but someone had already beat me to it.
So went to the post office and put the flyer up there.

Walked around town, up Sale Barn, down toward HT, back to town
where I caught up with Cathy and walked around the cemeteries with her.

Then back home.
Walked 6 miles

Made blueberry pancakes for breakfast.

It warmed up nicely today and we had sunny weather in the 60's.

We went to Walmart to pick up a few things.  Some food but mainly
we just walked around to see what we 'needed.'
I needed some new colors of nail polish and two cones of
white cotton yarn.  I'm going to knit a white baby blanket with the yarn.

Stopped up at the house to see how it was going.
The porch is coming along nicely.  Posts up and the joists are in.

Ice cream was on sale at the Shop and Shave again and we stopped
in a got a bunch.  They finally had chocolate chip mint so got a few.
The brand this time was Turkey Hill and their chocolate chip mint is my
favorite of their flavors.
The sale is 4 for $10.

Nice quiet evening at home.

That's a good price for ice cream lovers. We're having sunny weather in the 60's here, too. It is so nice. Hope you have a nice weekend.

Great price on the ice cream. Now you are stocked up for a while. :)

Sounds as if the house is coming along nicely with progress being made on the porch. I love seeing the pictures and watching the progress.

It certainly is dark longer now. I go to work in the dark.

Lovely first photo Karen! We have switched our walking time and now walk at 4:00 pm when Chuck gets home from work. Not my favourite time but it is so dark at 5:30 am!

Lovely photos from your walk, Karen. I'm curious to see what colors of nail polish you chose. I'm easing my way back into blogging after an unintentional break. I'm going to scroll back and try to get caught up here. Anxious to see how your new house is progressing.
