Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday's Critters

I've tried and tried to down load pictures but blogger just won't let me.
I'll keep trying and hopefully the pictures will be added soon.
Finally got them to load!  ๐Ÿ˜Š

Linking up with Eileen today for Saturday's Critters.
A couple of deer who live up at Happy Trails.

45 degrees this morning and sunrise was at 7:42.
Not much walking time in the light with the sun coming up so late
but when it did there was a mix of sun and clouds.
Not such a pretty sunrise picture but I thought it an interesting one.
This picture taken about 10 minutes later.
A nice walk around town on this quiet Saturday morning.
One man out walking his big white dog.
The only other activity in town was at the bakery.
It is one of the mornings that they bake the donuts.

Walked 6 miles
๐Ÿšถ     ๐Ÿšถ     ๐Ÿšถ
Baked another batch of chocolate chippers right after breakfast.
That makes enough for the kids at Sunday school tomorrow.

This afternoon a group of the kids from church went down the road
here from us and visited the Corn Maze that one of the farms make
every year.
(We will be going one day soon.)
After that they all came here to the house to have a look at Ken's train
layout.  Ken makes up a list and people can try to find the items on the layout.
It's fun to do and makes you really look at all the details.
Some things on the list are quite hard to find.
I always have chocolate chip cookies for visitors too.
It has become a tradition.
The kids all seemed to enjoy themselves during the hour they were here.

Just home this evening enjoying the nice and quiet after having
17 kids in the house.  ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hello, I love the pretty deer. They are checking you out. Blogger can be a pain once in a while. The sky shots are beautiful. I remember taking my son to see the train gardens at the local fire stations during the Christmas holidays. I am sure the kiddies loved the trains and the cookies. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Sunday, enjoy you day and the new week ahead.

What a blessing to have those young visitors, I know your husband enjoyed showing them around. Having the cookies was the tops for them, Don't you have this wonderful feeling when baking for others, I know I do, I will soon be baking and sending cookies to our grands, and children.
Love the photos.
Would you believe I have never been to a corn maze, but have wanted to.
Have a blessed day.

Glad your photos loaded. Great shot of the deer. Sounds like some fun events at your place and down the road. We enjoyed a corn maze a couple weeks ago.

What a beautiful picture of the deer! How wonderful to share the trains with the children and to give them cookies, too. Seventeen kids are going to remember the fun hour.
