Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Dark Skies

🌻     🌻
When I left on my walk this morning it was mostly cloudy but I did see
the sun come over the mountain.  The temperature was 60 degrees.

Walked the roads behind my house and then headed up Sale Barn a ways
and then toward Happy Trials.
Walking back to town, looking at the sky I thought for sure by the look
of that black sky up ahead that I was walking right into rain.
When I got to one of the cemeteries the sky still looked like the rain was coming.
The rain never did come while I was walking.  It all moved off to the east and
I even saw a bit of sun before I got home.

Didn't see anyone else out walking.
Quite a few of those cute little rabbits I see all over town.
Walked 6.2 miles
🚶     🚶
I made the third new recipe that I found for rhubarb and this one was
Rhubarb Pudding.  Another good one.  I changed the name
to Rhubarb Bread Pudding because it seems a better name for it.
Baked a loaf Zucchini Bread too.

I've just been home doing a bit of this and that around the house today.
Planned on finishing my house cleaning but never got around to it

Went outside and walked around the yard.  Harvested more rhubarb and
this bunch I'm giving away.  I think I've had enough rhubarb now to
last me till next year!!

Picked more zucchini and had it for supper.  Just sliced it up and cooked it
in a little butter with just a bit of salt and pepper.
Made a meatloaf and put some potatoes in the oven to bake and that was supper.
When my daughter Debbi was little this kind of supper she called
a  meal.  A 'meal' to her had to have meat, potato, and a vegetable.

Ken had a church meeting to go to after supper and I'll finish up here
and then read until he comes home.
Ice cream time then which I always look forward to.

It's been a good day.
Life is Good
A happy day to you.

I want to thank all of you for your kind words and prayers.
They mean so much.

We could actually use a good soaking rain!

I love your photos...each one. I am glad to see this post....I had been thinking about you and wondered how you were doing.

I agree with Debbi—that's a meal! Today was similar to yours in that we expected rain throughout the day, but it never came. This was good as we were playing 18 holes of golf...miniature golf. It was fun.

I have just read your post about your mother and want to say how sorry I am. She is at perfect peace now, face to face with her Lord.
And I must say I think that church photo is quite dramatic.

Hello, your sky shot is just beautiful. Meatloaf and potatoes would be a favorite meal of my hubby's. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
