Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Rain

Mrs Robin perched on the fence looking deep in thought.

FG - Glad to hear you are keeping up with your walks.  I don't think how far you walk is as important as being consistent with it.  Happy Walking.

It was 68 degrees and looked like it was going to rain any minute this morning
so I took along my umbrella and a good thing I did.
There was light rain, misty rain, heavy downpours and times when
there was no rain at all.  My umbrella went up and down through all of my walk.

Had one of those random walks all over the place.
Over by the pond I spotted a Green Heron but wasn't able to get a picture.
Seems like all the different kinds of birds are stopping by the pond
to see what is happening to it.

Didn't see anyone else out at all.
Just the usual people in cars on the way to work who wave at me.

Happy Trails is up there in the clouds between the two shrubs.
Walked 6.6 miles

The weather for the rest of the day was just like it was when I walked
this morning but there were a couple of thunder storms thrown in the mix.

Did my usual morning chores around the house and then I read
and mostly worked on the latest Baby Blanket.  I'm hoping to finish this
one by next Thursday.  It may be close.
Here's what I've done so far.
I'm working on square number 50 now which leaves 20 more do do.
Plan on working on it some more later when we watch Netflix.
A happy day to you.

Nice to see a Green Heron. They're pretty unusual around here.

I love the colors of the baby blanket! We had a clear day here...hot, but not quite as bad as the past few days.

I love the robins you have in your country. I've never seen a green heron before so I just had to look it up. What a beautiful bird, how lucky were you to spot it!
Your blanket is coming along beautifully.
Just to make you feel better we have rain here too today. The grass really needs it.
Have a great weekend :)

Hello, cute shot of your robin. We had rain off and on all day yesterday. Your Green Heron is probably missing the cat tails, it could hide in them. The blanket is looking beautiful. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.

Poor little robin looks perplexed and is wearing the same expression I have. 😉 Your weather sounds very much like ours. A happy weekend to you...

Same verse, Peterson's The Message Bible version:
"When you're kind to others, you help yourself; when you're cruel to others, you hurt yourself"

Sometimes I understand Peterson's version, sometimes I don't

We could really use some of that rain here. It's in the forecast for today so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Pretty colors in your weave it.

Robins do seem to think. Makes you wonder how animals think at times

Hello again! Back home and sorry we didn't venture over your way - the closest we made it was to Harpers Ferry WV for a day.
American red robins are so inquisitive - good shot of that one on the fence!
The baby blanket is another very pretty one!

Green herons are usually very skittish! It's hard enough to get a good look at one.
