Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Another sunflower

🐝     🐝
My walk this morning was another one pretty much the same as yesterday.
Behind my house, around town and down toward Happy Trails.

The temperature was the warmest morning so far at 70 degrees.
Not too bad though because it was cloudy and there was a nice breeze.
There were times when the sun came through the clouds but that was far and few between.

I saw Rebeca walking her dog and then later saw her again a few times
as she ran around town.
Walking down toward HT I saw Kathy driving to town but we didn't come
across each other walking in town.

I notice quite a few cars driving into the parking lot by the pond, take a
look and then leave.  I can't help but think that there must be more
people that were sorry to see those cattails go than just me.

Walked 6.2 miles
🚶     🚶
The morning I spent inside doing a bit of cleaning.

I walked over to Sherry's and got my hair cut.
With it being short it needs a trim more often.

Ronnie, our builder came over this afternoon and picked out the windows
for the house and made a few small changes.
Added a linen closet and a broom closet that we had forgotten about.
So Ken is now making those changes on the drawings.
We like working with Ronnie and he has given us some good ideas.

Another sunflower picture today.  This one has a darker face
that the others in the yard and it is my favorite one.
A happy day to you.

  6. The sunflower is gorgeous! When I retire I hope to take inspiration from you and start each day with a long walk, when I don't head to the gym instead or out for a hike!
