Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Barn Collective and some yard blooms

Linking up with Tom for the Barn Collective series.
Stopped to take this picture of a barn in PA on the way to Bedford last week.
From the road
and then zoomed in.  The horses were a bonus.

58 degrees this morning when I left on my walk.  Sunny and not much of a breeze.

First walked over to the laundromat and hung up a church flyer on the bulletin board
for Bible Time (VBS) which will be in July.  The post office got one too.

Then just walked all over town on no particular route.  Both cemeteries and the ball park loop got walked around too.  After an hour the temperature rose and it ended
up being quite warm.  Nice to walk around the ball park loop because a good
part of it is in the shade.
Kathy was out walking too and we walked a few time around the ball park
catching up.  She walks later in the morning but was early today because it
was cooler.

I saw many rabbits and stopped counting after 8.
Saw a deer running across the field.

Walked 6.5 miles
Found 3 pennies

Sunny all day and in the high 70's which is pretty warm here for this
time of year.  I must finally be getting acclimated to the weather here after
almost 4 years because it felt HOT today.
There was a breeze though and it felt quite nice in the shade.

A day of more weeding.  This time I worked on the vegetable garden on the side yard.
Some more flowers have started blooming in my yard.

This is the very first day lily.
Not sure what kind of lily this is but I think it is so pretty.
Looks like velvet.
The daisies and cone flowers haven't bloomed yet but there are buds all over
and it won't be long now.

It is going on 5:00 and I still don't know what I'm making for supper.
Ken is up at HT, maybe he'll come come home and want to eat out.  😊

A happy day to you.

Beautiful, beautiful flowers. I love that last Asiatic lily...love that color. Shoot, I love all the flowers. But your barn has my vote...it is one of the finest barns I have ever seen!
