Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Barn Collective and quilt square 23

Linking up again with Tom for the Barn Collective Series.
This is the barn that goes along with the house that is for sale next door.

The Quilt Square on this building isn't on a barn but a store at
located between McHenry and Accident on Doerr Road.
The design is Celtic Twist.
Pictures were taken back in late spring.

It was 20 degrees this morning when I woke up and snowing like crazy.
Too deep to wear my snow sneakers and didn't feel like walking in my snow
boots so I decided to skip my morning walk.
Thought I might go in the afternoon but it was still snowing
so just got my steps walking inside today.
Here's looking out my window.
 We finished puzzle number 13.
This was a nice one and fun to do and we were sorry to find it had a piece missing,
right in the middle.
I made a new recipe taken from The Taste of Home magazine this eveningfor supper and it was very good.  We both liked it and I'll be making
it again.  Later this evening or tomorrow I'll be putting the recipe
up on Karen's Kitchen blog.
Remember in the summer all that zucchini I got out of my garden?
Well this recipe would have been a good use for some of that zucchini.
  Zucchini Pizza Casserole

Having the usual nice evening at home.
Some Netflix, reading, making a few weave-its and of course ice cream.

A happy day to you and a smile from me to you.

"Our wedding was many years ago.
The celebration continues to this day."
~ Gene Perret

"Happiness and pain and sorrow
Were our portions through the years
That we two have lived together;
But love helped do dry all tears.
And my heart gives me this message,
Knowing all that I know now,
If the clock could be turned backward,
I'd still take that holy vow."
~ Gertrude Buckingham

Today is our anniversary.
45 years.

I am not familiar with the Celtic Twist design, but I like it!

Oh no! A puzzle piece missing in the center. No snow here and I still didn't walk for 6 miles but I did prune the pear tree which was lots of good outdoor work. Have a good evening.

Happy Anniversary! I hope you've had a special day together! It sure looks snowy and cold but how beautiful is the photo of the lavender farm. That's something I've never been to before! Hugs!

Sounds like a good day to stay inside and hunker down. What a great old weathered barn with an overhang in the back. Lavender farms sure have become popular these days. This the first quilt block for a barn that I've seen that isn't square. Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you back again.

Hope you're enjoying your anniversary!
We only had a dusting of snow, but that's enough for me.

First of all, Happy Anniversary to you and Ken! We will be married 45 years in March!

Wasn't today a crazy snow day? Blizzard like conditions at times and other times the sun would shine...then more blizzard like conditions. I feel certain that you had much more than we did. We have about four inches, but are forecast for three to six more from tonight through Wednesday afternoon.

I like the Barn Quilt...and also the pictures of the barn that goes with the house next door to you. I have a weakness for old barns.

What an interesting barn with that overhang.

Happy Anniversary!!! I'm sorry that you had to miss walking, but better to stay home than to fall. Will this winter ever end?

That looks like quite a storm you had yesterday. Our wedding anniversary is in March, we usually seem to have a storm that day too!
I will pop over to your recipe blog and check out your latest recipe.

As much as I love snow, I am quite envious of yours... (Maybe we need to move where you are!!!!! ha)
