Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

I've got a mansion

This is one of the hymns we sang at church this morning.

I've Got A Mansion
~Ira Stanphill

1.  I'm satisfied with just a cottage below,
A little silver and a little gold;
But in that city where the ransomed will shine,
I want a gold one that's silver lined.

Chorus
I've got a mansion just over the hilltop,
In that bright land where we'll never grow old;
And some day yonder we will never more wander
But walk the streets that are purest gold.

2.  Tho' often tempted, tormented and tested,
And like the prophet my pillow a stone;
And tho' I find here no permanent dwelling,
I know He'll give me a mansion my own.

3.  Don't think me poor or deserted or lonely,
I'm not discouraged, I'm heaven bound;
I'm just a pilgrim in search of a city,
I want a mansion, a harp and a crown.

I find it a blessing to sing these old hymns and I am so glad my
church has kept all the old ones.

John 14:2
In my Father's house are many mansions;
if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.

A blessed Sunday to you all my friends.
Jesus loves you.

John - If you click on WALK just under the header you can read all about my walk.
Funny,  you ask if Ken is going to put more videos of his trains up on YouTube.  He just did a couple of days ago.   Here's the LINK.

This song remindes me of when I was little. My brother used to tell me that every penny of tithe I gave to church, laid another brick for my mansion in heaven.

Hi, Love that old hymn.... I grew up singing so many old hymns which many churches don't sing anymore... So many memories... Reminds me of my mother --who loved old hymns.

NO SNOW here again. They had even predicted it here --but NOTHING but flurries... Bah.

Hugs,
Betsy
