⛄ ⛄ ⛄
27 degrees this morning and though it wasn't snowing at the time I walked
we did get more snow at times throughout the day.
After missing yesterdays walk I was determined to get out there today.
Had to wear my snow boots with the ice grippers on them.
Under the snow along the side roads it was pretty icy as you can see.
Walked around town up and down the side roads trying to avoid the snow plows.
Walked around one of the cemeteries but the snow was pretty deep and
it was hard to walk and the other cemetery was the same way.
It is slower going wearing snow boots and I miss being able to just
wear my regular walking shoes.
Didn't see anyone else out walking.
Schools were delayed a couple of hours so didn't even see the buses.
Didn't quite get in a full 6 miles but I did get in
5 1/2 miles.
⛄ ⛄ ⛄
We skipped bowling today.
Thanks for all the anniversary wishes from yesterday.
Picked up a book from the library that I had on hold.
It's the first book that Chevy Stevens wrote.
She is the author of the book I liked so much that I just read.
Still Missing is a page turner too and it shouldn't be long before
I finish it.
Took the puzzle apart and started the next one. (14)
Talked on the phone to a few people today,
Vickie
Chris
Mary Jo
Bernice
Wish I could have given them good news and not the news that I had to.
A happy day to you and a smile from me to you.

Update on my Mom
My mom has fallen three times in the last couple of weeks in the nursing home
and yesterday she fell again and broke her right hip. You may remember
two years ago come March she fell and broke her left hip.
Her heart is just too bad for an operation so there is not much they can do.
Just keep her on pain medication.
The doctor believes her heart will just give out.
We know she is in God's hands and He will take her home in His time.

Oh Karen, I am so sorry to hear about your mom's fall and broken hip. I will keep her in my prayers.
We had a nice day here today with temps in the 40's. Hard to believe that you live so close and yet had such nasty weather. Good for you...getting out and walking in that kind of weather.
I meant to tell you last evening when I commented that the puzzle looks like it was of an English cottage in the Cottswald's. Loved the thatched roof!
Take care, my friend. I will be praying.
Hugs,
Dianna

Glad you were able to get out today. We still only have a bare dusting here but I imagine that will change shortly.
Take care.

So sorry to read about your mom's fall and the pain of a broken hip. It's just not easy growing old. May God comfort her and you and all her loved ones. That first photo really screams winter!
So sorry to hear about your Mom.Yes,she is in God's care, but it still hurts to see loved one suffer.
I am sorry to hear about your mum. Thinking of you all.
Snow looks so fun from here. Guess it's easy to say when one is not in the middle of it.
Congratulations on 45 years together Karen. Bob and I celebrated 46 years yesterday as well. Must have been a good date :)

So sorry about your mom. You are right. When her time is up, He will take her back to him. Much love to you.
You encourage me to get out there and walk...even in the cold of old man winter! Your Mom is my thoughts and prayers. And may God Bless all of you in your time of need! Aloha!
Oh I am so sorry to hear about your mom...she is always on your mind...it is good that you can place her tenderly in God's hands...the safest place in all the world to be. My dad has been in the ER twice in the past week...I'm placing him in the Lord's hands, too.

I am pleased you managed to get out today, not easy with all the snow.
Take Care
