Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A spring day in January

🌻     🌻     🌻
Oh my goodness was it warm this morning.  54 degrees during my walk today.
We are having a spring day in January.  Didn't have to wear layers and
I even pushed my sleeves up.
It is very very windy though and the wind pushed me along at times and
made me take a step back at times too.  It must have been funny to watch me.

I didn't see anyone else out walking but lots of people tooted as they
drove past and a couple people even stopped.
I haven't seen Kathy out walking since before Christmas.
She must be taking a break or else walking some place else.
I do miss seeing her.

Walked behind my house, all around town and around both
cemeteries and back home once again.
🌻     🌻     🌻
I've been home today on my own and got lots of cleaning done.
Went around like a whirlwind and got the whole house cleaned.

Finished puzzle number 11
I came home last night with next months book to read for my book club,
The Dollhouse by Fiona Davis

It's been warm all day and windy.
High of 62.

A smile from me to you.

It was warm here today! I even saw people driving around Morgantown with their windows rolled down.

Your puzzle is so cute! And love your quote for the day! :)

Wow...that is downright balmy! If that's a photo of your home it looks very inviting.

The weather is so peculiar here too! What a lovely home you have from the photo above! You were creating your own weather cleaning system indoors! Good going!

Hi Karen, glad you got to enjoy a Spring day in January. We were very mild too. No hat or mitts again today.
Love your latest puzzle. Very sweet!
Hope you enjoy your new book.

We've had a light fall of snow today, although some areas of the UK experienced far worse!

I do like the look of the puzzle, and no missing pieces!

All the best Jan

Warm and windy here too. Trying to enjoy it before it gets cold again!

Your weather sounds very much like ours today, although I think the winds lessened down here as we just had a bit of a breeze.
Your house and beautiful green lawn looks so nice.
I could use a whirlwind day like you had.
What an adorable puzzle!

That really is nice after all the bitter cold you've had! It was around 80 here today and I enjoyed working in my roses a bit. Enjoy your evening! Oh...I do a jigsaw puzzle on my IPAD every day and the free one today was a kitten! Hugs!

Ooh! Could you send some of that warm weather this way please? It warmed up a couple days ago, and we had some rain...but then it froze again and now everything is coated with ice. On top of that is a fresh layer of snow. So...today we went running at the gym instead of venturing down our roads.

Your weather sounds beautiful. Glad you got a good walk in. And that is a lovely puzzle.

By the way, the first photo on your Wednesday, Jan 11th post, really impressed me with the amount of elevation change you must experience on your walks. Do you think it is a consideration in the amount of exercise you get in your walks?

We are back to warm too. Thank goodness.
