Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Mexican Train Night

It had rained during the night and this morning the temperature was right
at 32 degrees.  Thought there might be some icy patches around,
but I'm happy to say it was ice free so I had a nice walk.
The wind died down too, which was nice.

Walked around behind my house again and up and down the streets in town
and around both cemeteries.
Walking around one of the cemeteries I saw Kathy walking up the
hill so we walked around the cemetery a couple of times together
before going in different directions.
She was sick and then the weather kept her from walking.
Nice to see her back walking again.

Walked 6.4 miles
Found a dime and a penny

I baked a chocolate cake with chocolate icing today.
Both recipes for the cake and icing are on the back of the Hershey's Cocoa can.

Took the kitty puzzle apart and started the next one.
Another 500 piece one.  A mountain scene this time with a reflection and another one of the puzzles that came in the box of 10 puzzles.

Posting a bit early today because we will be leaving around 4:00 to
go to Tricia and Randy's house for a night of Mexican Train.
I think there will be seven of us this time.  Betty and Dennis usually
play too but they spend the winter in Florida.
Tricia is a very good cook and she will be making us supper.
The Chocolate Cake I made will be dessert.

A happy day to you and a smile from me to you.
