The geese are back at the pond down by the Drane house.
⛅ ⛅ ⛅
Rained during the night and when I left on my walk at 7:10 there was
still a very light drizzle so wore my rain pants and slicker.
It was a warm 52 degrees and very windy. The rain soon stopped and
I saw the sun and blue sky.
The clouds were racing across the sky.
Walked behind my house to start with and then all around town.
Both cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Walking around the cemetery up at the top of the hill
I stopped to pick up some of the flowers that blew around and put
them back by the graves and straightened a flag by a grave too.
I didn't see anyone else out walking or running.
No school this week so none of the school buses around either.
I could feel the temperature drop a bit as I walked and it was 45
degrees when I got home, still warm for December though.
Walked 6.2 miles

I was puttering around the house this morning when the door bell rang.
The mail had come and with it a package for me.
It was from Debbie, a blogger friend.
What a wonderful surprise to open up the package and find a
beautiful blue tea pot inside. Debbie knew I collected blue plates to hang
up in my kitchen and thought of me when she spotted this teapot.
I LOVE it. Thank you so very much Debbie.
Along with the teapot came a letter that she wrote me that I read with
tears in my eyes. Such kind words she had to say. She is a dear friend.
We haven't met in person YET, but we will, of this I am sure.
Here my new teapot sits on a shelf in my kitchen.

Finished another puzzle. This one was an easy one with only 300 pieces.
Puzzle number 8 |
I got some new measuring spoons and here they hang in my kitchen
in plain sight which makes them convenient to use.
After lunch we went out to do a couple of errands.

I was just thinking about the weather you all have, how it seems to go from one extreme to the other....kinda sounds like East Tennessee!! ;-) Although, we've had no snow yet, at least not in the "lower elevations". I'm ready for a beautiful snow...then, spring! ;-) HOPE you had a wonderful CHRISTmas...Happy New year!

Can't tell if that puzzle is a photo or art
Your teapot is so pretty and goes just perfectly with your plates. Online friends are the best, aren't they? Pretty puzzle. What do you do with them when they are finished?
