Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Mexican Train Night

🌸     🌸     🌸     🌸
The temperature was back to a more normal one at 42 degrees
this morning when I walked.
The rain is gone and the sun is back.

Walked over to the post office first and mailed off a couple of letters.  Then had my usual walk around town.

Walked around both cemeteries too and the loop behind the ball park.  Behind the loop there is a bit of woods with a short trail.

As I look over the little stream that is there, I am wishing that there was a trail because the woods ends over by the industrial park and it would be nice to be able to walk there without having to go on the road.  I would go walking in the woods but someone owns it and I don't want to trespass.  I don't know who owns it or I would ask.

While walking I noticed this swing set in a back yard.
I had never seen a swing made for standing before.
I would have liked that because many times I've just stood on the seat.
Stopped to chat with Kathy again.
Walked 6.2 miles

Such a beautiful sunny cool day.
A perfect laundry day.
A couple of sparrows have something to eat
while I was hanging up the wash.
Got some more things done around the house to get ready for our visitors
who are coming in a little while for dinner and game night.
It is Mexican Train night.
I made a big pot of chili in the slow cooker.
Other people are bringing rolls, salad and a cake for dessert.
With others helping out with the food I don't really have that much to do.
Looking forward to a fun time.

A happy day to you.

R.C. - I keep track of my daily steps on a web site called WalkerTracker.  So far this year as of yesterday I have taken 4,573,090 steps this year.  That is NOT only for my morning walk BUT for the WHOLE DAY.

Adam - The dentist visit doesn't go fast because they work fast, it is because using the water pic keeps my teeth from getting a lot of tarter build up.  It really is amazing the difference it makes!! 😊

You know, I love seeing laundry drying outside on a line! Its just satisfying to see it dry in the breeze and I'm thankful we've had such mild days up until now to dry mine outside. But today the rain came whilst I was out and the clothes were sopping wet! Oh well!

42 degrees sounds chilly. We were in the 60's today and may drop to the 40's tonight. It has been like summer here. I love a clothesline!

Hi Karen, we ended up having a lovely day too. It was a great day for clothes drying. I had a load out too. We went for a walk through our woods. It was very peaceful
Hope you have a great evening last night!

Sounds like fun! We eat Mexican food every Saturday night. I used to stand on the swing seats too. I have seen them lately made usung old skae boards and the kids swing on them and look like they are surfing. How fun is that?

Mexican Train is such a fun game! I play it about once a month with a group of good friends. I'm not much of a table game person, but that's an exception! Hope you had fun :)
