45 degrees this morning when I left on my walk. Up to 55 when I got home
and it was 70 later in the day!!
My usual walk around town up and down all the streets.
Headed down the road toward Happy Trails a ways before turning around
and getting back to town.
Walked around the cemeteries and down by the Drane house to see the horses.
I've given this one the name of Star.
I bet there are LOTS of horses with that name!!
Kathy was out walking again and we had a little chat.
A couple of rabbits hopping about the cemetery.
Walked 6.2 miles

Remember that cheese cake from yesterday?
We each had a piece for breakfast today.

Right after breakfast we went up to Happy Trails to do some more
work on the cabin.
We got the front finished with the 'live edge' siding.
The upper part will be getting something different.
The entrance way and this part of the cabin will get the 'live edge'
on it too and we have started it but haven't gotten very far
before it was time to come home.
This is a trail that we made and it starts right at the back of the cabin.
It was a beautiful fall day (more like spring again) and great
weather for working.
Still lots of work to do but given time it will all get done.
Life is Good.
A happy day to you.

Bethany - your were right, the pass it on from yesterday
is part of a hymn written by Henry Burton in 1885
Here are the other two verses to it.
Did you hear the loving word?
Like the singing of a bird? Pass it on.
Let it's music live and grow,
Let it cheer another's woe;
You have reaped what others sow. Pass it on.
Have you found the heavenly light? Pass it on.
Souls are groping in the night, daylight gone;
Hold thy lighted lamp on high,
Be a star in some one's sky:
He may live who else would die. Pass it on.
Debbie H - You asked if I ever get scared walking alone. A lot of people ask me that.
No, I don't. It doesn't even occur to me to be afraid.

I really like the siding on your cabin. You are so right. Bit by bit it all gets done.
Cheesecake for breakfast! What a treat! You are making terrific progress on the cabin & I'd love to go exploring through the woods at HT!
Happy Birthday Ken ... I think it's today!
HT looks brilliant and I like the trail as well.
Star is a great name for a horse.
All the best Jan
I love those pix of Happy Trails! It's really coming along well.
Beautiful.That trail looks very inviting.
Thanks for sharing the rest of the words from Pass It On--they're beautiful! The cabin is looking really good, and cheesecake for breakfast sounds like a winner to me!
Hello, I love the cabin. You and your hubby and doing fantastic work,it looks awesome. Love the trail too. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
Hi Karen, Happy Trails looks great! We enjoyed 70 degree weather yesterday too. It felt like Spring for a day anyway. This morning we woke up to rain.
Have a good day.
HT is looking so good! So cute!
Cheesecake for breakfast is a good idea. Otherwise, when will you eat it? Ha ha ha!
You're cabin is amazing and in such a breath-taking area. I looks like the best place ever to kick back and enjoy the beauty of God's art work. I adore the siding, the color and the whimsical architecture. The two of you are doing an incredible job designing and building it. I am so happy for you:)
Then you top it off with cheese cake for breakfast . . . that's what I call . . . win-win!
That first photo of Happy Trails looks like header material to me...so charming and, don't tell Ken, but pretty cute, too. (I don't know that men like to have things they have built described as "cute.") What great weather you folks are enjoying. Not here, mild, but wet.
Oh and cheesecake for breakfast sounds fantastic.
Happy Trails is looking great! Love that wood siding you're putting on it, and the color! Thanks for answering my question. I would be afraid, but we live in a wooded area. Plus, a lady was assaulted in broad daylight running at a state park near us yesterday. Scary times!
I love seeing the photos of your cabin coming along, and of course, the trail. Anytime I see a trail, I think "I wonder where that goes?"
That's just amazing! Your cabin is looking fabulous. I love how it is perched up there on its hill, welcoming you! Beautiful red trim, and I love the siding. Can't wait for it to be finished. Wish we could all have a video tour ... yes? :) And cheesecake for breakfast - wow! That sounds delish!
