Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A couple of Roosters

Linking up with Eileen today for her Saturday Critters.
A couple of Roosters.
These roosters are at the farm where I took Mondays Quilt Barn pictures.

This morning it was 21 degrees out and very still with no wind at all.
Sure was nice to feel the sun when it came over the mountain.

The puddles were frozen.

I walked the Farm Loop on this quiet Saturday morning.

Didn't walk past the doctors office so don't know if the duck is still there but I'll check tomorrow.

I saw a few cows out over at the Diary Farm and six deer farther down the road.
A couple of rabbits were around too.

He looks cold but I'm sure he's not with that nice warm coat on.
When I got back to the main road I went to the
industrial park and walked around there too.
Then headed home.
Walked 6.2 miles
Found a penny

It was a pretty day out with lots of sunshine and a bright blue sky
and the temperature got up to 40.

We spent the day outside in the yard.
Ken had his tractor down here at the house and pulled up
a bunch of old shrubs and bushes that we didn't want.

Leaves got blown around with the leaf blower that Ken used and I raked up
piles of leaves and put them on a big tarp and dragged them to the yard
waste pile we have in the back yard and dumped them there.
That pile is getting really big.
Leaves are still in the garden areas where they collect around the
dead plants that I still need to do some work on, but that will get done
another day.

We are off in just a little bit to go out to eat with a group from church.
Going down the road to Perkins which is only 6 miles from home.
Quite a few people are going and it should be a fun time.

Hope your day was a happy one.

Hello, I love the roosters. Their colors are lovely. Is that an Alpaca, it is cute. Hubby and I enjoy Perkins, their chocolate pie is hubby's favorite. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

I enjoy seeing the critters you see on your walks. So different from what I see around here. Lots and lots of dogs here.
Hope you have a fun time at Perkins.

I would be following them around waiting for them to drop some of those colorful feathers. Gorgeous!

Those roosters are so colourful. The second one reminds me of a pet Bantam rooster I had as a child.

The second rooster with the rich fall colors is my favorite.
