Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Escaped cows

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
55 degrees when I walked and it was a beautiful sunny morning.  Walked all over the place around town.   A nice but uneventful walk.  : )

On yesterday's walk around the Farm Loop I didn't mention the cows because I had already posted so many pictures so I'll tell you about it today.

Coming around a bend in the road I saw some escaped cows came out from behind the corn.
I told them they weren't supposed to be there and they were going to get into trouble.  A few started following me down the road for a little ways.  I wanted to go up to them and pet them but decided it was best to leave them alone.
Today I walked 6 miles.
Finally found the first coin of the month today - a dime.

Yesterday and today we spent the whole day up at Happy Trails.  Yesterday we worked on the cabin.  No pictures though because we just did a lot of odds and ends and nothing really looks all that different.

Today we didn't do any work on the cabin but still worked up at HT.  We worked on a trail wide enough to drive the tractor or ATV on.  We had started one before and today we hooked it up to an old logging road on the new part of land that we just bought. Now we have a nice loop that brings us back to the cabin.  A good walking loop too.  : )  We harvested more rock too.  Some flat ones for our patio back at the house and also some for the rock crusher.  We ran out of time to use the rock crusher today though.

So now we are home and looking forward to a nice relaxing evening at home.
Hope your day has been a happy one.

Cows are so curious.I sure hope the weather is cooler where you are, because out here,I don't even want to go out of the house. It's 34c or 93f.That's just too hot for me.

Loved the quote today...very fitting to go with your cow story. I loved it that you talked to them. I'm an old farm girl whose job it was when I was a kid to bring in the cows for milking in the afternoons. I've had many a conversation with cows. ~wink~

I hit my two mile mark today! So grateful to the Lord for the strength and desire to do so. You are my inspiration, you know. :-)

I often meet cows on my walk too. Nice to be back here and catch up a little. I hope you are fine.
